i've bought that and it works perfectly in nearly every application as it emulates the keyboard keypresses and the multimedia button on top of the keyboard.

so if your application could be navigated using the arrow keys, accepts the numeric button and works using the multimedia button on top of the keyboard, high probability it'll work out of the box without requiring any tweak using the remote.
further tweak for other application could be done using programs such as EventGhost.
