Are mage a good class for pvp? i see frost mage like kinda hard play, i mean frost mage depends on frozen effect for dmg but u see warrior can charge out of it, paladin can hand of freedom, cleanse, druid worst, can switch form!! priest can dispell magic, plus mage cannot self heal, unlike most classes has self heal mechanism. and frost nova always fades due to other dpser breaking it before frostbolt finish its cast.

so are mages good for pvp?

mage - great for raiding, absolutely great for BGs due to AoE and is part of one of the best comp for 3v3.

when i did lvl 70 and below instance, mage always good for sheep, hunter for traps, rogue for sap,

but y did when i did 80 heroics/normal, there is no more setup like this. tank will simply wanking around, mage do their OP dps(lol)? LK is too easy?

LK heroic instance ar? My druid in cat spec, no def cap, no stam gem in gear.. all armor penetration only, change to bear and tank, also can pass. My GF's unholy DPS DK, switch on frost presence and tank.

Back to Flampard, I think mage is ok to play. If you are a person that gets bored easy, I suggest you try a multi role class. So if you get bored of dps, you can still tank or heal but it all depends on you. Like I said, mage is pretty good to play, they also work quite well with other classes in pvp.

You don't need to worry about meta playing now because all classes will have weaknesses, there is no "I WIN' button in WoW. Takes abit of training to be good in whatever you play.

all classes are "almost" balanced.

mages are one of the preferred one in PVP BG or Arena regardless due to their good crowd controls and nukes, paired with a rogue and priest (r/p/m) is the most famous comp running in arena.

as for which spec, well play whichever spec you prefer or u feel u r good at; currently the popular spec is frost.

i seen 2k++ rating comp running 3 holy paladin before, so... nothing is impossible.

WOLK too easy... yes! dont need much strategy, just pew pew everything down lol...

lulz Rhargilz, this is a pretty old thread, i 've already quit wow so u know how old is it....lol

its from may and his post could help potential thread openers, and btw rhargilz i think wiz cleave is stronger then RMP proven in bliz invitational for the blizcon L,S,D or L,M,P or L,D,P triumph over RMP like crazy because of the burst and also the near unlimited mana of the druid

Shadow priests Rule and kill most locks , fearward for the win!

brah fearward only serves as a temporary defence againts fear i never lost to a shadow priest as dest or demon lock, because i barely use any shadow spells and sure your resistance to shadow helps but when i send a dps burst up shadow priest 9/10 break shadow form to start to heal lol

guess im outdated hahaha still seeing the r/m/p advantages, so far haven't been trying out other comps.

*a quick one, whats the most viable spec for locks nowadays? still aff?
