QUOTE(sgpdsmss @ Oct 27 2010, 09:54 PM) Ya, my current streamyx combo 1mb got 180KB/s average, if line quality is gud, it can go up to 200KB/s...Im applying the jalur lebar 1mb, that's why im worried about the speed if the speed same or not... |

QUOTE(sgpdsmss @ Oct 28 2010, 08:22 AM) your combo still under contract? erm, no.. 2 years odi.. going to terminate it sooner1malaysia only for new application. if using your current phone line, port ...the speed should be remain unchanged .. QUOTE(totally_skint @ Oct 28 2010, 05:20 PM) 200KBps. That's like a 2Mbps speed! LoL... my area speed reach only to 2048kbps.. (kilobit, not kilobyte) haha..You should get the 4Mbps package then (if your line supports it) - only RM88 QUOTE(ronnie @ Oct 28 2010, 05:42 PM) LOL.... 200KB/s=1.5mbps... not 2mbps.. haha... The calculation is simple, just divide or multiply by 8....QUOTE(ronnie @ Oct 29 2010, 11:24 AM) DSL is based on shared bandwidth with all subscribers.... thus sometimes can get very good speed, sometimes very poor. Yupp... its true...QUOTE(ronnie @ Oct 31 2010, 11:24 PM) Port Speed is the max speed capable of the DSL line you are connected to. Sorry, can't agree with you this time, cuz I got two account, one is my, one is my fren, when i use his account (384kbps), maximum download reach only to 50KB/s...... when i use mine(1mbps), it runs 180 to 200KB/s... Tested in same place..Port Speed is suppose to be equal to Access Speed. |
