bro gagak, torco SR1 5w30 fully can last for 10,000km as other fully syn oil did? pls clarify me... tq... might consider this as well...  =)

actually i did heard something from others, if u always drive ur car, u can go for fully oil... make u go less trip to sc and save money...

but if u less drive ur car, means do service after a long time... recommend to use semi as if use fully, the interval of servicing might be too long... n the oil stay in the car inside too long not good...

i dunno is it true onot but sounds weird for me...
*
Its true..general service intervals are 5k km (or 10k if using fully syn) or every 3 months

this is correct.. that is y dont used cap ayam oil filter for fully synthethic..
for honda, dont used blue colour oil filter.. very2 cap ayam. stick to hamp and hamp only.
*
hamp is wat im currently using...

but ive been curious about the Bosch Type R filters and also the power enterprise magnetic filters.....

just serviced muh car on saturday with Cusco fully syn 5w/40 oil....gotta wait another 10k before i can try out the other filters... would prolly go with the power enterprise filter

magnetic filter is all BS.. you can cut the oil filter to check.. why there is a need for magnetic since ur filter already filtered the oil impurities and etc..  nod.gif

magnetic sump nut  is good.  thumbup.gif

got one time after a track day it evaporated until almost finished... had to top up about 3 litres of oil

only happened with mobil 1... other engine oil i used on my B16A didnt have the problem

any idea for a perodua kelisa 1L car, what is the best for me? Im auto though
*
mineral oil is more than enough for the kelisa..

i owned a kelisa for 7 years and i only used fully syn once...every other time i used mineral oils...watever brand the workshop has.. didnt really matter... car ran smooth and had no issues watsoever...

only thing is to make sure u change every 5k km...max oso 7k.

my favourite brand of engine oil has always been pennzoil... especially the fully syn ones.. u could try that brand if ud like...

as for petrol...ive tried ron95 n ron 97 in my ex-kelisa... full tank the 97 is about RM10 more only..but i gained a significant amount of mileage with it....

real life experience with pennzoil about 15 years ago. but with 2 stroke bikes..and their high end 2T oil (RM12/L at the time)

if any of you know wat servicing a 2 stroke bike is like, ull know that ull have to remove the head and clean out the carbon build up. usually with sandpaper and petrol.

the workshop i used to go to had a brand new 2stroke kapchai bike for their dispatch use...before the bike even started they drained out all oils...and replaced them with pennzoil 4T and 2T oils...after the 1000km run in, they removed the head..the carbon was so little.. they just dipped a cloth in some petrol, wrapped it around their finger and gave one...i repeat just ONE stroke on the carbon and thats it. the same thing went on up til the 3rd n 4th service.. after that i dunno already, never kept track.

but after i saw that, i switched to pennzoil. had the almost the same results. carbon build up was just alil more than the workshop's bike. previously i was using motul oils.. and the carbon build up with their 2T was quite bad... not just black carbon...but also white carbon.

the pennzoil 4T oso gave me a smoother engine.. ever since then ive been a beliver in pennzoils..

recommended the fully syn to a friend who used it on his MIVEC 1.8... he loved it.. said the engine was so smooth and rev happy. i also used it on my ex-B16A...same results.. would love to use it for my current B20B... just dunno where to buy in my area and how much sad.gif

Best time to check is right before u start ur engine for the first time of the day...aka after the engine has been off for several hours...which is usually in the morning

a) i do this also...but i change my engine oil every 10k since i use fully syn oils...so do the gearbox oil 1 shot.

b) agree with this... especially since ur redlining up and down the gears. though i have to say that it does add stress to the engine....proof of it is my engine blew in SIC laugh.gif....at the time the gear oil and cusco fully syn 5w/40 oil i was using only had about 1k km done.

c) owh yyyyeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh

Good video thumbup.gif . After watch it i feel like i been neglected GB maintenance, but i got question, for normal daily ride + occasional redline do we need to change GB oil every time engine oil change? Or maybe it just sufficient or ok to change the gb oil after 20k km?

Thanks
*
20k km is ok i guess...not too sure... i change mine every 10k... which to me.. is every oil change coz i use fully syn oils til 10kkm oso...
