Engine Oil Reviews, What engine oil have u used so far

Hi guys, my Corolla SEG just underwent a top haul and im considering what EO to put in for its oil change. My mech recommended fully syn xw40 since he said i drive long distance and the engine doesnt consume oil. Im a lil skeptical bout it. Was contemplating 10 w 40 LM, but id like to hear feedback coz i noticed oils now have really extended OCI's . Btw i just got this car. Tq....

just the basic stuff. No re boring or sleeving done. I see i see. Ill take note on the 1000 km immediate change. Im just curious if an old engine like the corolla can still run on fully syn? Im pretty sure to use 10w40 LM, but cant help wondering.
