you guys should read the car/engine manual first. Theres a specific viscocity required for the type of weather/operating temperature you're in for optimum protection of the engine components.

CNI Motobest
10-40W Semi Syn
10,000km.
MYR 100.00 4L

Previously used Mobil 1 Full syn MYR 190.00 4L. I brought leftover to the CNI shop to test on the Falex machine. Mobil 1 surrender (smoking) after 2KG load on it whereas Motobest up to 3KG load still rotating with sound but no smoke.

My turbo kicks in faster and less blowby with motobest. Downside is becoz its a semi-syn oil you need to change it more frequently than full-syn oils.

Good video but they performed the test in front of me and my Mobil 1 leftover oil and after the crowd left we performed another round of test (yes i know the owner of the CNI shop) the worst was Shell helix 20-50W . And most importantly, they use 500g weights incrementally NOT BY HAND.

Amsoil is the only one that outperformed Motobest but at RM210 too premium for me.

by the way, how do you know the guy in white coat of the video is a legit tester?

that wasn't the point of the video. the point of the video proves that using the falex machine is a "one armed bandit".

i mean, the shampoo score higher than AMSOIL, would you pour shampoo into your car?

only an idiot would do that. Wanna ask me why?

Also it doesnt prove that the falex machine is a gimmick it just proves that ppl can skew the result by performing the test incorrectly.

it scored higher because theres is a variable in the test. which is the tester arm and both salesman are not qualified to comment on the machine.

Actually amsoil used anti-dandruff shampoo because these shampoos contain high zinc content which are excellent anti-wear additives in oil. If you buy their latest oils they will have HIGH ZINC stamped on the front.

thanks sir for fix it... thumbup.gif
watch the video again...using hand or weight is the same...

AFAIK, Amsoil also MLM style selling their products..but they never use the falex machine...

Not same. if use weights the pressure is constant and if using arm pressure is variable. How can you not understand this?

They didn't me and group of friends did.

the falex machine is just to bluff consumer...

I have use amsoil for 20k km interval for my car, so far no problem, all good, well worth it.

Amsoil is the best. But now they stop selling, perhaps Mobil 1 EP will have to replace it, afterall we are just driving normal car, not racing car, doesnt have much differences....

Falex machine test is legit but you need to perform it under controlled conditions. I have witnessed the test results using weights are repeatable. That means it doesn't matter what the order of the products is you test you'd get the same results provided you clean the roller and replace the wear bearing for each product.

- that's kinda what everyone is saying.

- there are many variable in the test which amsoil guys have pointed out themselves. however it still stands: if the shampoo can be rigged to score higher, other oils can do the same. and at the end of the day, you wouldn't pour shampoo (other oils per say) into your car smile.gif

Doesn't stand in the test we have done at the shop. I made sure they really did clean the roller and change bearings b4 i'm convinced.and the results are repeatable laa no matter what the order of product is. U still don get it? shakehead.gif

Of coz i wouldn't this is a load bearing/friction test only. Water could work too but soon your engine will be reduced to rust.

Shows how shallow some ppl are. Just blasting away without research. In the amsoil video both idiots are salesman look it up.
