as far as i know, there are 5 types of Honda oil filter..

1. HAMP made in Thailand (widely used at Honda SC)

2. HAMP made in USA (made by Filtech Inc.)

3. Blue colour one with Honda logo (made by Toyo Roki Mfg. Co. Japan)

4. Blue colour one with Honda logo (made in USA by Filtech Inc.)

Fyi, Filtech Inc. was established by Toyo Roki Mfg. Co.

5. Blue colour one with Honda logo (made by Honda Japan)

addition: HAMP Japan oil filter also exist which is also made by Toyo Roki thumbup.gif

then?
fyi. not all blue colour with honda logo come from honda japan..
and the most cheap filter in the market is blue colour.. if u used mineral, blue colour is ok.. but not for fully synthetic.
green hamp thailand RM14 at sparepart shop.. green hamp usa with box  RM29 at sparepart shop..  blue colour Rm3 for foreman price
*
get the blue one, with Honda logo & in a box with correct part number smile.gif

the one made by Filtech or Toroyoki also acceptable as there are established company..

fyi, most of Honda air filters are made by these 2 companies..not by Honda

HAMP from Japan also made by Toyoroki..

but is has less filtration material than the blue one..

i guess the difference is only marginal..

saying the blue filter is cap ayam in general is not correct, coz some Honda SC will use the blue filter once the free service coupon is finished coz they charge more for original blue filter..

maybe there is some cap ayam filter out there that is claimed to be original Honda & in blue colour..

therefore, there is a possibility for some of the green one to be cap ayam as well..

i think u should google before making any statement here.
FYI.. honda SC also have Hamp.. it matter u want or not... if u not asking them, therefore they will not give it to you.
+ expensive

can u provide any link here? the one that states HAMP is better than original blue filter?

coz for me both of them are same in quality, or have marginal differences only.. thumbup.gif

Features include a unique release valve that dynamically adjusts to the conditions within the filter to keep the oil flow and pressure constant.
i guess unique release valve means drain back valve rite?

not.. never once selling fully synthethic to wira 1.5
*
by saying all wira cant use/not suitable to use fully syn is inappropriate.. icon_rolleyes.gif

the same goes when saying all Honda blue oil filters are cap ayam, also inappropriate icon_idea.gif

we misread as changing your oil only EVERY 15k that gave quazacolt a scare for a moment there. Since you change every 5k, I'd suggest you to try the LM MOS2 10w40 which has better additives than the Synthoil. Tested personally

Added on October 8, 2011, 10:24 pmvalvoline mineral at RM75? Must be a good oil i reckon
*
how many mileage this LM MOS2 10w40 can go?

8k km?

thanks

if rue rich, use ESTER oils as they're good for the rubber and valve seals as petroleum based engine oils tend to harden the seals up
*
like Chemlube? it can last for 40k km as been told by Zenden, but under controlled driving condition la

change foreman. If they can't discipline themselves, or their workers for that matter, whould you expect them to do a better job since they cant even perform a simple task of obeying the F mark on the dipstick?

maybe the dipstick dont have F mark..

haha sweat.gif
