if im not mistaken the price for ultimate is 399. i guess the comfortableness is about the same.
*
more comfy i would say. especially on the sole, which is slightly thicker than mexicos too.

Added on July 14, 2010, 11:45 pmand not to mention it's broad and roomy at the forefront (unlike the mexico which is kinda pointy), and it's perforated too, which allows more breathing of ur feet.

so generally yeah, these are the strong points of the ultimate 81 that i'll consider to be more comfortable than mexico 66s.

if not mistaken, the ultimate 81 was inspired by the suction cups of the octopus' tentacles when mr onitsuka was dining in a sushi restaurant (dunno if i read the book correctly)
anyway (theoretically), the suction cups were claimed to provide more grip, just like the tentacles of the octopus. so i'd assume it to be more "grippy" than mexico but whether will it lose its grip on wet floor or not i don't know. haven't try it myself. someone care to volunteer?

haha. it's just from my personal experience after so many years buying and working with ot.

for the lautas, it's just the materials used and designs differ a bit. so i wouldn't say it affects much on comfort when comparing to their basic (core line) counterparts.

years of homework i guess. hehe. i keep track of every possible release and collaborations of OT and dwell myself in sneaker/fashion blogs or sites like hypebeast, high snobiety, sneaker freaker, tokidoki etc etc. . . and the list goes on.
my previous work in a clothing store also requires me to do research on brands like ot, merrell, superdry, and all to feed hungry customers with info and to make sales.

hehe.. 1 more thing, is there any 2nd edition of mexico 66 or there have no any edition of it?

here the picture of OT tokidoki. is it ori or fake?
[attachmentid=1681349]

those are ori. but the site selling them might not be selling authentic ones. chances of getting an authentic pair of tokidoki x ot mex lo is almost 0%, unless u're buying a used pair or a pair that is not your size at all (US 5 and 6).

i got my tokidoki x ot mex lo for almost RM700 after delivery and conversion. tokidoki x ot lawnship for around RM400. tokidoki x ot lunetta also around RM400.

why u said "unless u're buying a used pair or a pair that is not your size at all (US 5 and 6)"..?
is OT Tokidoki don't have a normal size like 8 US - 10 US?
looks like i need to learn more about OT..

guys...can anyone teach me how to know bout fake tokidoki?i wan to know diff with authentic ones...
*
exposure = experience. i couldn't give u a definitive answer for that because the fake characteristics of tokidoki varies from shoe to shoe, depending where was it from. also, there are so many versions of toki x ot, which 1 were u referring to?
all i can say is that (in general), colour and placement of certain element are those that usually tell off fake tokis. ppl usually use this as a guide when purchasing toki goods ie. bags

for those interested in rakugaki, u're in luck!
try email sportiela and ask them to check their inventory to see if there's any left. got mail from my old pal, earnie. told me that there are a few pairs left. odd sizes. that mail was abt a week ago, dunno if there's any left. cheers.
