Hey guys... is it possible to completely remove HTC Sense UI from Desire or Samsung Galaxy S?

I wish to have stock android but don't want to get either milestone or nexus one...

just install different launcher

Hmm... But what i was thinking is... can HTC Desire get the updates (froyo and gingerbread in the future) as soon as they released?

What I know is because HTC have to update the Sense UI to make it compatible, so we usually get our updates slower.

By removing the Sense UI (or installing a different launcher like what you said) can do this?

Nope, you still need manually update the ROM if i'm not mistaken.

That means... let say if i use a custom rom... i will need to have to wait the rom to update to 2.2, then i can install the updated rom with 2.2, is that what you mean?

Then what about i install the stock rom?
