I just got the Desire at Maxis KLCC! sticker no 8?? not too many ppl.. Using the Desire to update this post! looks like a great phone to me! Yeah..

went to play with the desire @ klcc.. really good and intuitive interface.. also its very responsive i might add

im waiting 4g Evo...hehe

You can:-

1. Export your contact to your PC as CSV file.
2. Then login to your Google Gmail account.
3. Import your CSV file to google contacts.
4. Sync from your HTC Desire, your contacts will be all in your phone.

You can edit your contacts from Google account, then it will auto sync to your phone.

Quite simple. Make sure u got the nokia pc suite n htc suite installed. Can download from the net if u don,t hv cd. U need microsoft outlook also. Sync yr nokia 2 outlook then sync yrdesire to outlook. Got it 2 copy most of my phone contacts b

Rooting any android phone will brick your phone if you did some steps wrongly

its only the software issue, will not brick the hardware of your phone easily...but still, there are possibility to brick your phone hardware...

went there today...i went there quite early to avoid the crowd...

the phone is nice, fit nicely to my palm, the phone is responsive, and it's quite fast when surfing too, multitouch works pretty well...

but a few things bug me from getting the phone:
- if MNP i need to wait 2 days then only can get the phone...
- cant upgrade data plan, if you get 500MB and feel like upgrading you need to terminate your current plan, means you need to pay the penalty...
-pink hue is more obvious that i anticipate

so in the end i didnt get the phone, and will most probably wait to get it from other retailers if i do get it or see if DiGi decide to offer this
worst case scenario: wait for other alternatives...

HTC in partnership with Maxis, secured an exclusive arrangement to sell the Desire for a period of around 1 month, with its exclusivity expiring on 23rd June 2010.

The Desire will retail for RM 2,199 and will be available from HTC’s resellers after the expiry of Maxis’ exclusivity period (that is from 24th June 2010 onwards).
