Updated to firmware ver 1.21.405.2 and noticed that there maybe a bug with the news widget. The full version widget does not launch news from Engadget website like it previouly did when you select the news. The lite version is working fine with Engadget. Can someone confirm this?

Thx for the info. Updated my phone software. It does sound nicer. Didn't notice any different for the news though.

Just tried it. Works as expected for me. Also updated today.

hmm... wonder if it looks nice on Mirror SP? but i dun wan to wipe the oil on the screen everytime i touch/use it...

the new rom is only available to europe, so those hu bought AP units comes frm euro, so oni they can get the update i think... jus let them be the guine pigs and try it out first... keke

Just wait abit, I think the update should be out for Asian sets as well soon.

how come updated afternoon u already see the improvements in the battery? thats non logical unless uve tested for days already...

EDIT: Just check JuicePlotter(an app to check your batt life)
i set my live wallpaper today and according to the graph of the juiceplotter, the battery didn't seem to go do very fast..

Did you subcribe to Engadget only or with other news feeds like CNN, Yahoo? Mine can launch if subcribed to Engadget and other news feeds but won't launch if subcribed solely to Engadget only.

Anyone play movie using your desire? I tried play a movie convert from rmvb size around 1gb. The picture is smooth and the sound is smooth also. But it seem to be some delay on the sound compare to the picture, around a second late. Anyone of you notice that?

Ps: the movie play in computer is perfectly match.

so far havn't tried movies but did tried animes, those 720p quality.. converting to Desire's resolution and mp4 format..
playback is awesome and the quality is top-notch.. no problems in sound delay..

Hehe agreed, a bit too early to say that but i used the phone as usual, normally by 7pm i got the red warning already.. Today is the first time can last up to 10pm. Thats why i said "it seems..". Again, maybe too early to concludes on the battery life..

agree.. tested converting to mp4 using Videora convertor if not mistaken and it works well..

I also downloaded+installed doubletwist but not really sure how it works.. can doubletwist really convert file to mp4 format?

One Q, i setup my Hotmail, i receive my mail fine. Then i go in hotmail via pc to create rules. Eg; mail from facebook auto sort into facebook folder. Mail from jobstreet into another folder. Now going back to Desire, i can only see my hotmail Inbox, dont have the folders i created. How to fix this?

I dont usually use the news widget, just tried it to test your case. I tried it with the default settings, with the other news feeds. I just tried it again with all the other feeds deleted except Engadget. Still works for me - tapping on the news in the widget will launch the article from Engadget in the browser.

Btw, if you only want to read engadget, the Engadget apps is very good, but i'm sure you know about that already

handcent SMS trully recommendable....now no need to push sleep button anymore hehheheh
