QUOTE(law_yew_wooi @ Jun 18 2010, 08:40 PM) paid apps can't be bought here in malaysia? then how m i going to buy any paid apps that i want here besides rooting my phone coz i know after rooting, i might void the warranty... Nope. Its OTA update. Kinda like how u do ur firmware updates eventually if froyo 2.2 is out, we also nid to root the fon in order to get it? |

Just downloaded Handcent SMS. WOW,simply WOW! Now I know what all the hype was about haha
It's soooo amazing! And so customizable! You can customize every single thing on this app! Right down to the colour of the divider line, how do you want the vibrate pattern to be,what do you want the icon to look like in the notification bar,its amazing! And its quick too, much much quicker than the stock HTC app. It loads up miles faster, and its sooo beautiful to look at messages now. I haven't tried ChompSMS but someone here prefers that to Handcent so I might just give it a try soon hehe But to those guys out there still using stock HTC Message app, abandon ship! You're missing out on so much,as I've found out |

QUOTE(cruzzmz @ Jun 18 2010, 11:37 PM) desire or galaxy s? ... if u like a crisp clear screen better get galaxy s ... also full multitasking ... but hell i still like my desire Full multitasking? Desire also can what? And yess the Galaxy S has a better screen but what the heck,Desire's one is already very Desirable And IMO Desire looks way sexier and classier! And Sense beats Samsung's UI (its Touch Wiz iirc) hands down |

QUOTE(law_yew_wooi @ Jun 18 2010, 11:42 PM) ntc3freak: just want to ask u.. can i buy any of the paid apps from the market without rooting my phone? because i think that rooting my phone might get my phone into trouble as im not a techno guy... I'm not really an expert at this But as far as I know, the easiest way to get full access to paid apps is by rooting and using Market Enabler. But another option is you can buy from some websites, then download the APK,transfer to ur phone, then install using Astro or other file managers. Or if you're cheeky then you can look for pirated versions |

QUOTE(law_yew_wooi @ Jun 19 2010, 12:06 AM) haha, ohh, there is "pirated" versions huh? never knew that, hahaha... Hahah in this day and age, everything has pirated versions. U could try your luck and google for it,I've not tried it myself. Haven't really needed anything from the paid market. Or at least thats coz I dont know whats available there anyway, do you root your phone? And nup,I haven't root my phone yet. It's way too young, less than a month oni |

QUOTE(law_yew_wooi @ Jun 19 2010, 12:19 AM) I am also going to buy a desire soon. I have been looking around in this thread and reading the comments from users like u. There are some drawbacks which can be solved by the froyo 2.2. If really it came out, then the phone can say near perfect to date, or at least better than others and worth buying. Biggest concern now is, we don't even know whether we will get the update that soon or not or we don't even know we CAN get the update or not. I really want a bigger storage for apps. Hopefully everything can be solved with the released (let's see on the 23rd, if any miracles will happen).. hahaha Haha well I think the June 23rd rumours are incorrect, suffice to say. There's no way Desire will get it on the 23rd when even the Nexus One hasnt gotten the official update. So the June 23rd rumours are bogus to me. I do think HTC will update the Desire though,we just dont know when. It'll be stupid for HTC not to update their latest flagship phone in countries using GSM. In countries using CDMA,they have Evo and Incredible to worry about. HTC simply can't afford to not update these models, because they need these models to be up to date and able to compete with iPhone 4. So yea,I would say that HTC will most probably release the Froyo update for us. Cross fingers that it doesnt take ages for it to come |

Hey guys,I'm a little unsure about background data.
Lets say if I set my facebook to sync every hour, then what if I turn off my background data? Will it still sync every hour? or will it not? |
