Hi all,

I have just received a SMS from Maxis saying my phone bill has exceeds 80% of my CR limit and my phone bill is RM380 for this month after I got my HTC desire on 27 of May.

I tried to call to Maxis Customer server and they told me my data plan of 500MB has already exceeded. But i am using 3G watch dog from 28 of may stated i only use 91MB until now.

Anybody facing the same problem here. I think Maxis is trying to play some trick with their customer. Earning extra income for themself.
*
did u asked them when it will reset the 500mb quota? is it according to ur bill date, or a specific date?
because i bought the same day as u bought it..

I am waiting for my statement to arrive so I can have something on hand when i call them. But this is really not acceptable. My 3G watchdog set from 28 of may till now stated i only use 91mb...but Maxis say I exceeded the 500Mb.  vmad.gif
*
yea. cause ive been using around 280mb monitored by 3G watchdog as well as per last week, but when i checked the unbilled amount, it does not go extraordinary..i also dont understand la. they said that the sent and received bytes are counted in the 500mb rite? the watchdog clearly adds both. so that shud be impossible if urs exceeds 500mb while the count still show 91mb. when is ur statement closing? like mine is last week. i dont think it have numerous amount. do tell me the outcome if u get ur statement. now i want to use the data oso scared ady.. sad.gif

Remove the swype and swype setup. Restart your phone, remove all your widget on your phone, restart, then try install the swype setup and swype again~~
Do not install swype while your widget or update is running, it will cause problem to it~~ smile.gif  smile.gif

Hey guys, long time reader/lurker; first (or second) time poster.

I initially got the same problem with you guys in regards of the Maxis statement mishap. Imagine that they messaged me sating that I owe them RM600 plus!

So I promptly replied to them that I am under the data plan, 3 gig per month to be exact, and I do monitor my data packets, which has not even exceeded 1 gig this month.

At first, the call centre guy tried to give me an excuse that probably I've been using more than monthly plan I've subscribed (Which is BS), and probably I've been using my phone outside Malaysia (another BS)

After I replied that what they suggested was utter crap, than only they said it's probably the system error.

What I got back from Maxis after my nasty feed back was that:

Data plan is capped at RM450. If you exceeded it, they'll automatically cut it off.

But that is what they say, and not what they did. :-P
*
then what is the solution that maxis provided to u?

hi there,

Thanks for the info. I duno download anything at all...just for normal use. But most of the time my mobile network is not on because i scared it will exceed the 500mb like now. Then is that something wrong with the 3 G watchdog.....showing only use 92mb since 28 of may till now. My phone is at RM377 now. OMG.
*
maybe u accidently reset the 3g watchdog? or calls? is that the total u have to pay, or unbilled amount?

I never reset the 3g watchdog before. Thats the total amount i need to pay. The problem is not because i cant afford to pay but i need a better reason why I have to pay that amount.
*
yea i agree with. when u have contact maxis and all, pls do tell me how they resolve ur matters, just scared it might happen to me as well

i think u have to register at SiS website,

like mine, at 1st the person oso said have to register this and that and all. then later when i went to claimed the car charger, they help me send the warranty card to SiS, and they said if any problem just bring the warranty card to the service center.

so far i have not registered any phone that i bought except the iPhone la..

try to go to the SiS website and register.

When I bought mine on 27 May during the official lauching at KLCC, the sales collect the other portion of the warranty card, and I retain the other portion.  I guess they should have submitted to SIS. To be safe, I also registered via online  smile.gif
*
oh really? u did both la. i still havent registered it online. i bought the same date as u oso. aiyo. malaz want to register online ady since the person said just bring the warranty card if anything..

wow, you guys are really awesome. How do you know all these things? Discover them yourself? I search the whole phone already, but still can't find it, not until you told me how. Anyway, how many hours should I charge for the first time? and how about the following times?
*
recommended usually 8 hours for the 1st charge, then for the following times, u can removed it when it says charged completed.
