Just tried the wireless settings instruction sent by UniFi, it does indeed reduce the wireless devices speeds
Hope there's a way to connect and still maintain the speed... |

QUOTE(Lakeambience @ Oct 7 2010, 07:38 PM) Hey guys, I've just got myself a lan cable. It still disconnects after every 30mins or so. I'm getting very very frustrated. Is there some settings that i might need to know to solve this problem? thanks guys. Unifi sent a powerpoint presentation to me showing to adjust settings for the wireless connection so that it stabilizes the connection but no idea if it's wired though. best bet is to email them! |

QUOTE(Lakeambience @ Oct 7 2010, 09:22 PM) Thanks bro. Would you mind sending the powerpoint presentation to me? i would love to play wireless. The reason why i bought a lan cable is because i read that many use the lan cable to solve the same problem. And also, how is the speed after adjusting the settings? is it the same? The speed does decrease apparently. Unifi themselves have admitted it. Cheers. gimme your email and i'll send it to you. |

Hey all, I solved my problem recently by simply connecting my Belkin router to the tmnet modem router. Didn't do any of those 'bridging' thingys or replacing the tmnet modem with another. Didn't even have to change any settings whatsoever. No more disconnections UNLESS my torrents are running
