does the Pioneer has any input i.e HDMi/Optical/Coaxial?
If it does not...then you cannot connect your BDP to the Pioneer

If it does....then BDP-->HDMI-->Pioneer-->TV

Have a quick look at the back of your system

Look for HDMI IN/Optical In

I have a feeling you'll have Optical in only.

If you have HDMI IN, then get yourself a HDMI cable and connect your blue ray play to the Pioneer using HDMI In

If you have Optical In, the get yourself an Optical cable and then connect your Blu Ray Player to your Pioneer with the optical cable.

If you have both, also choose HDMI over Optical.

From you remote, choose Optical/HDMI In (depending on your connection) to have the blu ray sound broadcast from you Pioneer...

Clear as mud?? smile.gif

From here looks like your HTiB only have optical input. So, you need to connect using optical cable from Blu-Ray Player to your HTiB. Then HDMI out form Blu-Ray Player to TV. Worst thing is, if your Blu-Ray Player doesn't have optical out sweat.gif

Yeah...nowadays with cost cutting going on, there is no telling even basic stuff are taken out.

Worst is Panny HT, got optical also cannot use it for DTS cause the DTS is only for the built in DVD.

HTZ585DVD should come with an Optical In so it should be...

BDP (Oppo-80) Audio --> Optical to HTZ585DVD
BDP (Oppo-80) Video --> HDMI to TV

When solution is found, you can self-close this thread smile.gif
