so if we order it online, will require SIRIM approval, but if we buy it when we're overseas and bring it into Malaysia, no SIRIM approval required? Besides, why do they want to approve the same product over and over again? If they are really ISO standard, they should have come up with a list of SIRIM approved items that can be purchased overseas (Mr Bijan pls take note) and post it on their website.
Example, samsung tablet 10.1, just regulate it 1 time and approve it, then we as a consumer and order it at bestbuy or any online store, with a peace of mind knowing that the product will arrive at our doorstep. Nih nak kena go all the way to sepang and entertain the pegawai kastam and his/her antics, very troublesome. Sure if it's a certain number of quantity, then they can talk about the tax charges, nih sebiji pon nak kecoh....aisey ramli.
