There is a charge for the sirim permit. You can either go to sirim & do it by yourself. Or you can appoint an agent to do it for you.
The agent contact no. 01132909022 (Ansarcomp). They 're agent for SIRIM PERMIT.Hope this help you.

i think the selfie stick, no need for sirim permit happy.gif If the smartphone, yes. That Rm100 if i'm not mistake is the fee that sirim charge.

Amazon labels it as a video recording device, media player. It is the Nvidia Shield TV, the 16GB model one.
Yes. F**ked up really. I understand the Gov wanna make money also, but charging for the so-called ‘Sirim permit’ for a standard electronic device with standard wireless transmissions eg; Bluetooth, WiFi, is a little bit too much. There’s import duty, GST, and this RM100 for Sirim permit. I don’t really mind for the import duty etc but what does this Sirim permit do, making sure my device is safe for human usage one?  doh.gif One way for them to ‘verify’ my product does comply with regulations regarding wireless transmission but at the same time charge for it for their permit. I see this as an easy money for the Gov.

Things to ponder, when I purchased the Apple TV imported from Singapore via Apple Malaysia website (they shipped it from Singapore) I didn’t encounter this. Does it mean that Apple have in some way made sure their ATV comply with whatever regulations that SIRIM put on the ATV therefore despite coming from overseas, they don’t require anymore validation from SIRIM? My ATV also has no Sirim sticker whatsoever till today also still safe for usage  tongue.gif

Apple pays for sirim sticker or should I say you paid for it already but just don’t know it
