hi! i would like to import headphones overseas

only 1 unit for personal usage.

will it get stuck in the custom and would i need sirim for such devices?

because the headphone quite expensive around 300 and i need to know b4 i start placing orders =/

(it's wired headphones)

i got my answers, but still got some questions

so i will be taxed on my headphone for sales tax 10% and 5% for import duties?

if my item get's held in kastam, how and where do i pay/get the approval?

i'll be damned if it's in shah alam....

I have been ordering computer products (WiFi) from China and the goods have been detained by Customs. Quantity of goods was 8. whether the item requires approval from SIRIM before it can be taken from Customs?

I'm bringing 2 pcs of iphone 4S again this week, will also be declared as full value on commercial Invoice (insurance purpose) - hopefully won't get charged for SIRIM thing !

won phone from hongkong but now need to get sirim permit.. anyone experience this before? any advice? how much $$ need to pay for permit?

i take in few high power wireless router for the project and got stop by custom, they ask me to go get approval from sirim too, i go to sirim and pay them to get the approval, they approve it without even testing the router, i think because they know the product are manufactured with international CE and FCC standard, so i guess the approval things are just some kind of their money making things

hi there, recently i bought 2 iphone on ebay.
1 using fedex and 1 using USPS.

so i know it might get 10% tax import tax as i read thru all the post.
so i wan to ask,
for the fedex 1. they will pay for me and charge me rite? how about the sirim ap? will they handle for me also?

2. the one using USPS, if the customs ask me to apply the Sirim AP. may i know where can i do it and how much would it cost??
