Nah, no Toshiba (with the same price range and withing your budget) can beat both the laptops that you mentioned nod.gif...most probably via online is Dell :

Dell SXPS 16, P8700 + HD4670 @RM2999

Dell Vostro 3700, i5 430M + GT330M @RM2849

There are also laptops that met your requirements but a little over your budget, such as :

Sony Vaio CW26, i5 520M + Nvidia GT 330M, 1600x900 @RM3699

Sony Vaio EA16, i5 520M + ATi HD5650 @RM3999

Toshiba M645-1002TX, i5 450M + Nvidia GT330M @RM3999~~Coming Soon

Acer 5745G, i7 720QM + Nvidia GT330M @RM3799

Toshiba F60-S530, i3 330M + Nvidia GT330M @RM3799 + Toshiba Wireless Mouse+ 2nd and 3rd Year Local Warranty+ RM200 Shopping Voucher

Worth to look at MacBook if you need that much of battery life...
or can wait for Asus U35Jc, which should be around in couple weeks more..
As the name implies, tri core means the CPU has 3 cores and dual core is 2 cores...

the processing speed of course. because intel jump up from 2 core to 4 core, amd decided to go to 3. for better than 2 performance and lower than 4. which might be on some people budget. performance wise, i can't really tell since it has been quite some time since i read lengthy reviews on processor and such. hosh i love reading them before. now i'm more of photo-junkie.

So it's Dell huh? i don't know my dad will approve on that or not but thanks anyway. wish me luck finding the asus and the lenovo biggrin.gif

Well, Tri-Core means that it have 3 cores in one CPU, while Dual-Core only got 2 cores...which means with 3 cores, you can do a lot more tasks without burdening the CPU on processes, same goes with 2 cores but the performance sure lacks a bit from a 3 cores nod.gif...

Simple example :

One house got 3 cars while another only got 2 cars....so which is more merrier and can do a lot of stuffs?? Sure the house with 3 cars icon_rolleyes.gif
