For office work, M301z would do fine, better spend the extra rm200 for warranty...
unless you need dvd drive..
and note M301z no vga port...

Any other requirements?? Well, different with all the BRANDS that you listed is just its different BRANDS nod.gif..some offer good stuff while some are just normal nod.gif...Dell is the best (and also the most expensive) when comes to After Sales Service, while Asus provide you with 2 years Global Warranty..Toshiba also is a well known laptop in Japan and their quality is amongst the best icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, with the budget i can recommend you :

Acer 4741Z (P6000 + GMA HD) @RM1899
Lenovo G460 (i3 350M + NV 310M) @RM2349
Toshiba L510-B402 (T6570 + ATi HD4570) @RM2299
Toshiba L645-1004U, i3-330M + GMA HD, freeDOS@RM2000 (need own Window installation)
Dell Vostro 3400, i5 430M + Intel HD, Home Basic@RM2379
Dell Inspiron 14, DC P6000 + ATi HD530v @RM2199

hi, can i ask for netbook recommendation here?
at this moment, what's the best spec of netbook and the price?
i'm considering a netbook (or maybe a laptop) which has the best spec and weigh less than 2kg, price less than rm2000.

can anyone recommend one?

Ok, budget is done = RM2k...now all we need is your requirements nod.gif...what usually you use the laptop for...without this we can recommend you endless of laptops icon_rolleyes.gif...

Some that you might take a look :

Compaq CQ41-208AU, AMD M520 + ATi HD4200, freeDOS@RM1599
Compaq CQ41-217AU, AMD M320 + ATi HD4200@RM1599
Compaq CQ42-258TU, i3 350M + GMA HD, freeDOS@RM1949
Acer 4551, Athlon II P320 + ATi HD4250, FreeDOS@RM1499
Acer 4741Z, DC P6000 + GMA HD, freeDOS@RM1599
Acer 4741Z, DC P6000 + GMA HD@RM1899
Toshiba C640D-1004U, AMD P320 + ATi HD4250, freeDOS@RM 1449

Its always better for a notebook rather than Netbook, unless you want to take it around always...Netbook is rather the same in terms of performance nod.gif..different would be the warranty and the type of service that it offers icon_rolleyes.gif

13"
Dell Inspiron 13R, i3 330M + ATi HD5470, Home Basic@RM2299 *no DVD
Dell Inspiron M301z, AMD K625 + ATi HD4225@RM2299 *no DVD, free optical drive

14"
Acer 4551, Athlon II P320 + ATi HD4250, FreeDOS@RM1499
Lenovo G460, i3 350M + Nvidia 310M@RM2349~~FreeDos@RM2199

i myself prefer the 2 Dell Inspiron... decent hardware with Dell's excellent warranty for those who knows nuts abt hardware... 13R has VGA port and has better performance if she play games, while M301z is more stylish and weights a tad lighter than 13R...
