off topic but, where is M101z club?

that's why i'm asking for more inputs.. perhaps from the users..

anyway i decided to take the acer 1830tz because it has better processor, longer battery life, better looking and got a free upgrade to 4GB ram.
I wish I could test the m101z but it is not available in stores, only online.

I am looking for a 13.3"/14.1" laptop for a friend. Preferably light and slim and not too heavy. Budget around RM3000. Any recommendation?

I wouldn't use the word low for RM1,799 for a netbook.

Anyway, the lowest is RM1,499 actually, but it's with single core only and 2 GB RAM

Why did u say Acer has better processor?

Acer: Intel Pentium U5400

Dell: AMD® Nile™ Athlon II Neo K325 (Dual Core) for RM1,799 or AMD® Nile™ Athlon II Neo K125 (Single Core) for RM1,499

I thot the AMD nile is the latest, compared to Intel U5400?

I'm also looking for netbook, and seems like most recomended Dell M101z.

wanna buy laptop for casual usage,
not travelling too much but from penang to PJ,Doesnt really bring laptop to starbucks regularly.
wanna look for smth that is good for watching movie, Gaming (PES / Football manager), Multimedia usage and surf net.
considering 14 inch and 15inches does it really make so much diff and wont the graphic over 15' be worse than 14"

Is bigger size usually = better tahan in heat since ultra thin laptop usually heat up faster.
at 1st thinking of A42Jv only but considering bigger size bcoz thinking it would be good to play game and watch Movie with a big screen laptop.
Don't want regret carrying a big and heavy laptop..So I'm in dilemma.

For me personally, I would think that 14" still big.
13.3" or smaller more ideal since I also travel from time to time.
But too bad not much choice of powerful laptop of that size.
Lookin for other powerful small laptop other than m11x.

Asus U30jc(i7-620m), U45jc(i5-450) and dell vostro 3400(i5-520m)...all graphic card i think is 310m...
Above 3 models, which one is better?as in built quality,performance, long term used and overall?
May u guys give some recommendation? I totally can not choose between this 3 laptop.

the price of these 3 models are within my budget...as the built quality Asus from other forums is not that good where the keyboard problem, optimus problem, laptop got noise problem etc...i afraid that after i bought the asus not more than 1 year then some problems come out...I believe that U30jc spec is not bad above 3 models. How about U45jc, besides long batt life? vostro seen like a bit expensive in term of the spec of the other 2 models.

Besides these 3 models, any laptop recommendation which similar with above spec except acer?
I dont like A42jv although the performance and price is reasonable. The reason is because the look quit plastic and easy get fingerprint around the laptop which make me feel irritated (maybe im too fussy ).

Actually im looking for i7-620m processor which can deal with my programming project. i7-720qm consume much battery. At first im considering N82jv but stop production already.

1) what is the latest lappy in around budget (2k to 2.5k) in multimedia usage?
2) among the all brand.. which is brand is tahan one?

My uncle is planning to get a netbook. Any recommendations? Only criteria is it has to be slim, decent battery life and costs less than 1.7k.
