between hd5470 vs gt330 or gt320

witch one is good in photoshop (cs5) ??

Acer 4741G, i5 450M + Nvidia 310M, 3 years warranty@RM2299

Guys after considering for a long time the models which I found suitable and value buy is of above, but before I do my last decision I would just want to ask a few questions, as I'm not familiar with these, thanks in advance


1) Does the A42Jv meant for gaming and A42Dr meant for working?
2) Is Intel or AMD better in laptops, because quite lot of my friends said that AMD heats quickly and dies faster, sorry if this question is repeated.
3) Why most of the peoples here(LYN forumers) prefer Intel? Because it's meant for gaming?
4) The purpose of the laptop is used for editing photos, assignments, surf net, game(only DotA and Counter Strike)

1. Not really, just that the A42Jv has better GPU for better gaming performance, what you want to use it for is up to you...
2. Raw performance wise, the intel still wins, what AMD offer is cheaper prices....
3. Simply because in AMD usually plays in low budget notebook, you can't find any notebook offer AMD with high-end GPU....
4. If only those two games, the Acer 4741G is sufficient....

GT330M > GT320M, which CS5 utilized CUDA (Nvidia)...
Though better spend in bigger ram and cpu...

If it really stock out what other laptop with same spec and price i can buy?

since u r going to get ur laptop in september and not now, no point keep introduce model for u since new stuff keep coming. what i suggest is u stuff urself a bit of computer knowledge so that u will know what u need by the time u want to buy a laptop. just my 2 cent

then what computer knowledge i should know before buying a laptop?

for example 64bit and 32bit windows, comparison of graphic card and processor performance. btw, what r u going to do with ur laptop??

Oh, so better GPU only gives better gaming performance?
Doesn't really influence the graphics programme such as CS5 or the graphic of computer?

I have several candidates to choose:

1.Compaq CQ42-188TX/Compaq CQ42-189TX - rm2199
2.Acer 4741G - rm2299
3.MSI CX420 - rm2499
4.Dell 13R - rm2299

They are around the same price and I like Dell. However, is it possible to get the Dell 13R without Windows (like FreeDos), because I would like to spend the money at other place.

Or perhaps somebody can suggest some other model listed above? (prefer no Windows, internal drive and lightweight)

M301z would be better, but do note it don't have built-in dvd drive and no vga port...
Though if you don't really matter the performance, the Inspiron 14 is fine for those games as well....
