I just tried to play with the mini. Before I turned on the phone, my friend said it's just too small. But once I turned on the phone, because of the user friendly interface, the perception of "small" gone.
I saw from other source saying that Mini Pro is just 10 Euro more expensive than the Mini. ... getting really excited. Singapore SE has dropped the "coming soon" icon from Mini Pro... |

QUOTE(tracktion3 @ Jul 3 2010, 10:40 PM) the mini only have 4 corner for short cut. So, we need to utilized our widget as short cut. So Thanks for the apps recommendation. I will keep this as note and install them when I get my PRO.. 2 more greats apps: 1. LEDLight. You can add the widget which is very useful to turn on the LED as torch light. I like this one rather than using the screen light. The LED light is very bright. 2. Apps organizer. Very usefull to group aps and add a widget. |

By the way, one annoying thing is, everytime after the screen off, when I want to tap the screen, it asks for unlock. Anyway to disable unlock?

QUOTE(pianrasa @ Jul 27 2010, 10:26 PM) there is an app that does just that.. It simply disables the lock screen.. here's the link for the app.. it's called 'No Lock' Wow! That app is what I want exactly. Thanks a lot Pianrasa. Added on July 27, 2010, 10:28 pm by the time u need a battery replacement.. u'd be itching for a new phone.. Added on July 27, 2010, 11:29 pmHmmm...out of my expectation, the way Bluetooth File Transfer app works is by "probing" to the sending device first, instead of the other way round, i.e. sending device probes the receiving device. Mine is ORI set, yet, my phone can't recognize numbers which do not have +60. So embarassing when I couldn't recognize my contacts.
Added on August 13, 2010, 12:42 pmOne question: What do you do to the stock application, when you are using a third-party application from Market? Just leave it there? Or how? I'm using Handcent SMS recommended by Pianrasa, then I found a problem. When SMS comes in, Handcent SMS will notify, then the Message also will notify. This makes me feel that I am doing redundant things in my phone...any advice? This post has been edited by skyer: Aug 13 2010, 12:42 PM |

Ok, I discovered something strange.
My phone was originally 1.1.A version. After having it for almost 3 weeks, today only I installed PC Companion. To my surprise, PC Companion said there is a new software available. I thought it was a new firmware. However, once my phone updated, it is still 1.1.A version. The thing is, now the problem of not displaying contacts appropriately has been solved! Weird huh? |

Another thing I noticed after "updating" (from 1.1.A to 1.1.A) , the screen will lit up when SMS comes in ... hehe. No need to use handcent.
By the way, anyone face this problem? The notification area above sometimes could not be pulled down??? |

1) There is no way to create play list in Mini?
2) Following question 1, anyone have any idea whether 2.1 firmware supports playlist creation on phone? 3) Before I "update" (from 1.1.A to 1.1.A), the Chinese keyboard selects Chinese Input by default. However, after update, the Chinese Keyboard always chooses English Input as default. Anyone experience this ? This post has been edited by skyer: Aug 15 2010, 12:21 AM |

Found something:
I used Advanced Task Killer. Yes, I could kill the apps. But I noticed a far more battery drained when ATK is running. Then I switched to JuiceDefender. The result is superb! I have not charged my phone since the night before yesterday. But one question, is JuiceDefender still running even when it was not listed in the running app? |
