press the center button long enuf, it will prompt you to select your home screen. I assume u isntall some sort fo launcher...

People,

I had my 1st hang of the phone while playing Carom3D Trial version. The screen just go blank. When I charge it, the screen came back but all the button no respond. So I cant turn the touch screen on.

So how to reset this phone? Battery is built in so you cant remove it.

The method explain in this link.

But the best way to reset is by pressing the middle button and the power button at the same time for 5 seconds.

btw. x10 mini pro got removable battery... hmm?

did it do the trick? i presumed that ur X10 mini came back functioning normally after the procedure?

tired waiting for the PRO, getting X10 mini instead... love the PRO qwerty, but willing to settle for an on screen qwerty on the X10 mini. saw it on youtube, quite good.. click on the link below for demo..

Yes....it work perfectly. Very easy, is like re-starting your phone. I dont blame if on the phone. It sound like the the apps that causing the system to hang.... but this is the 1st after installing dont know how many apps from the market and non market too.

Android is really...... powerful...

Added on July 17, 2010, 11:56 pmSome update in wifi. I discovered that, if you have problem with wifi where the symptom is, it wont connect to your modem, and the funny thing is, it will connect if you reboot your modem. I found some sort of bug.

If you have above problem, go to setting>security & location> My location> turn off - use Wireless networks(establish your position using wireless network).

and try again..

wifi will connect again now...weird, hope this can be fixed in 2.1 tongue.gif

temporary.. this works.....

similar for me. tight now I use my x10 mini to update this forum. if you plan to use the phone often for going to the net,I suggest you get a bigger screen. for a quick update,x10 mini is perfect for me. like I said,SlideIT is s must.

You cant forward contact via SMS or received it via sms. smile.gif He he he all android got this problem I believe. There are apps that can make this work though. But you need to pay. tongue.gif

yeah, camara cant zoom. Well, you can download apps to do that like Camera Zoom FX. But those are digital zoom. Not clear. The best is to get phone with optical zoom.... but then again.. is a phone.

I dont like to use zoom anyway... especially digital zoom. Waste of time..

I cant remember if I need to register gmail. I do have an a/c. If free anyway, whats wrong with creating an a/c in gmail?

you mean the prefix of +60XXXXX?

nope... I dont have solution for that... maybe can try the apps, that you can download for trial. Both phone and your outlook contact need to be sync. From there, you can add the prefix if I could recall... hmmm hmm.gif

using wifi will not take your creadit. is free. make sure you turn off your data line.. just incase, accidental... used of your 3G.

you can set the horizontal setting at the setting> sound & display > Orientation

data line can be disable at setting>mobile networks>data traffic,

You can add a widget to on or off data traffic too. I suggest you do. I off mine all the time.

I got speedx 3d he he he.... very challenging game... smile.gif you want... just google.. he he

your X10 mini is an AP unit? The ori comes with apps and driver inside the SD card, it will automatically call for install. But, you need to download the latest one from SE. Go download PC companion.

updated mine and these are the changes I notice:
1. there are 2 additional apps added. A game call roller coaster. and then another one is more important... backup & restore. The backup and restore is important. I remember reading in somewhere when we need to update to Android 2.1, the backup and backup of apps that we already install including contacts, and SMS etc. So, this could be the sign of getting ready for 2.1 arrive.

2. The network is better now. somehow I can reconnect easily.

3. The clock widget now has date on it. tongue.gif

4. disabling data traffic, the icon on the left top notification bar can be cleared. Earlier on can not. Kinda worry because now I dont know if it is on or off? tongue.gif

5. Just realized that when I receive a call, I need to unlock screen 1st. The old one it will turn on the screen and then only slide to pick up the call. Now I have to unlock the screen 1st which is good in a way.

num 5 is good, it prevent accidental call pick up. You never know even you pun in pocket etc, it may accidentally press the return of menu button.

So, now have to unlock 1st...

record conversation?.. hmm maybe use a record application? I got one install, never try it. It should be ok since the phone can multitask?

I just notice, the new firmware would be able to read the number in this format (012)123-4567.

Many of us when we transfer our number to the phone, it will be converted from 016-1234567 to (016)123-4567.

Then we will have problem where when people call us and we dont recognize the number or who is dialing.

Im happy to say that, this is fixed. smile.gif The updated firmware recognize this format now (016)123-4567 when people dial or sms in.
