hi. Im considering a new phone and on a limited budget. i hate nokias and had always been interested with androids. besides i need a phone that better integrates with gmail,calendar,docs and what not.
im wondering if anyone knows whether anyone has released a custom rom for galaxy ? any shops in lowyat that would be happy to help us with this ?

IMHO this is relatively a good phone with AMOLED screen, easy to type single handedly since the virtual keyboard won't be too bottom when hold in 1 hand, only thing is lack of multitouch.

i have bought the phone. and had been playing around with it for quite a while. short of a few minor things. i think the phone is great. samsung did release donut for the phone though. but still doing some reading on how to flash it.

not yet, coz currently haven't found any samsung android phone with reasonable price in market so i kept it XD

i've rooted my galaxy, yeay. wasnt as scary as i thought. next up. to flash darakz galaxo rom 1.6 into my baby. weeeeee

nothing else to update at the moment. i only plan to flash the new rom in mid next week after a short trip up north. im scared that i might actually brick my phone when im juz about to go for a trip, that will surely spoilt my mood.
i got a few questions though. do i need to flash the official firmware first before i install a custom rom ?meaning. since samsung has officially come out with a 1.6 update. do i need to flash that first before i can put galaxo in, or is galaxo a complete package?
