i really like this persona elegance model and geram on what he said. well, you might say that it is a childish act. but if elegance win, then it will shut his mouth for good and slap his own face for all the bad commend he said on our car.

if persona really wins, then everyone (including me) will roll our eyes and leave a big hole in between our mouth and say: "wow, proton cars specially the persona really is a car that performs"....

Anyways, some questions from a newbie auto-transmission user:
1. Noticing that it lacks power when going uphill (Genting road). Kancil oso potong me like nobody's business. What gear should I use when going up inclines like these?

3rd gear, if worse then 2nd gear.

2. I hate the latency between pedal and engine response. Since it's the fault of the drive-by-wire system, is there any way to improve this?

Not much can be done, since our Persona ECU is not remappable.

So that means if driving at around 80-90kmh & suddenly need to slow down immediately, just shift the gear from "D" to "L" will not spoil the engine or the gear box??

Will it cause the car to jerk suddenly?

my friend had a wet hand when he came down from his vios, and swear that he will not do top speed on that car again. he claim that it is not stable and felt very light on the car driving at that high speed.
my question:
did the 32 bit ECU helped improve the persona's performance?
or the vios driver is lousy driver?

this question will remain un-answer, coz the vios driver had swear not to test car again

P.S.  Please don't bash Proton because you are unlucky.  Bash yourself for being poor.  Poor in making the decision to buy a Proton. I am poor also but hopefully not unlucky.  Cheers!

Got sound in front of driver side, near the absorber area when doing turning on rought/uneven surface? If that is the case, I think is related orifice valve thingy.

depending on what causes the squeek. if its from the poly stoppers at the top of the shock absorbers... then what you can do is.... buy a can of silicone spray and NOT the usual oil based sprays or grease like WD40. Jack up ur car and find that white / yellow colored stopper at the top of the shock absorber and spray a bit say 1 second squirt of the silicone spray like indicated in the photo below:-


Note: The photo is reffering to the rear suspension to my car fitted with low spring and the dust boot being pulled down to reveal the stopper. But the front stoppers are visible directly. Method of doing is the same.

Brake pad u can go either Trestor Advantage Blue or Metal King titanium for budget wise...Else...get better one like Imp Formula or Rapid Stop, ( Best get higher degrees pad like 300`C above ~ 500`C), Also depend what kind of braking feel u like, some is soft and some is hard, i know Trestor is Hard feel)

today my car started to give "ngok ngok" or "ngek ngek" sound, coming from behind, when moving even at very slow speed. Even during reversing, the sound can be heard, I am sure its not from the stuff in the boot, as from the past few days the problem didn't exist

haven't reach 500km already start giving problem

for persona elegance, do u guys observe that, when u close all the door and take out the key without lock the alarm. in abt 30-40 seconds, the alarm will activate and lock the car itself. this is for security purpose.
