after we skim the disc brake, can we use back the current brake pad, or we must change to a new brake pad?

rm50 for front disc.. actually you can asked at any SC to skim your disc brake too..

came back from Proton service center located at Serdang. Finally they manage to identify the "EeeeEeeeEeee" sound some where around the dashboard meter, to be exactly, under the driver leg there. Actually this problem cause by the ICM Relay which tie with Power Control Unit under the driver leg, right side. According to the SC, this will not effect the car performance and just the annoying sound there. Besides, this is well known problem as same as the knocking sound when doing turning on rough surface, their sound still got 15 units ICM Relay for owner to be claimed which in the quece list. Luckily this not the ECU problem, otherwise, i think it more worst!

So is this eeeeeee.... sound can claim the icm relay warranty? Mine also producing the same sound at the gas pedal area under the carpet.

don't be like that la... you know, that day i heard radio said PROTON is proud that their car don't have MAJOR problem (like the one with Toyota and Lexus to call back few models)... they even said that PROTON is heading the right direction towards producing cars that can competing other global brands. i know i know, some of you still have comments on this (including me)...

but look at the bright side, PE with the new ECU won the new vios in the performance test.

Bro it would be nice to snap few photos of it like a general view of roughly where it is and a closer view to share with us all here. Even me a car enthusiasts is not sure what ur referring to and where or how it looks like. If u dun mind, pls post photos of it! Thanks man.

btw, im not sure if i have those kinda sound u mention. So its the relay making the noise or it is rubbing against something or what?

Help.... my persona is sooo noisy now, esp when go over uneven road and rought road. How to solve this?
Now i feel like totally no soundproof at all, as when without open window and open window are same noise level. What's wrong with it?

You sure ? Persona have very good sound insulation already, can discribe ur sound? Is it like plastic rubbing sound?

Morning everybody,

long time I didn't come over here, last week I just service my car, 40k. is around RM330. I am using Caltex oil. 10w - 30. After that I went to Penang for a small trip. The whole trip is around 950km, I have pump RM140 petrol for ron 95. Enjoy the driving so much handling really stable while the speed up to 170km and above.

Last time when I turn the steering, I heard so funny sound, is like belt turning sound, I though it is normal, but after I have ask the mechanic, he said should be no sound at all, because car is still new. after that he has settle the problem for me no more sound while I turn the steering for those who have the same problem you can complain it.

Guys I got a few noise problem here:

Everytime go through bumps, can hear squeaking sound from the absorber, what can be done to solve this?

and what brake pads are you guys using? Feel like changing mine as well after skim the disc brakes.

Got sound in front of driver side, near the absorber area when doing turning on rought/uneven surface? If that is the case, I think is related orifice valve thingy.

depending on what causes the squeek. if its from the poly stoppers at the top of the shock absorbers... then what you can do is.... buy a can of silicone spray and NOT the usual oil based sprays or grease like WD40. Jack up ur car and find that white / yellow colored stopper at the top of the shock absorber and spray a bit say 1 second squirt of the silicone spray like indicated in the photo below:-




Note: The photo is reffering to the rear suspension to my car fitted with low spring and the dust boot being pulled down to reveal the stopper. But the front stoppers are visible directly. Method of doing is the same.

I spotted persona elegance cps at nse near sg. Buloh in proton bearing plate. The front bumper look like gen2 cps, the rest all same as persona elegance. It's light apple green colour.

Brake pad u can go either Trestor Advantage Blue or Metal King titanium for budget wise...Else...get better one like Imp Formula or Rapid Stop, ( Best get higher degrees pad like 300`C above ~ 500`C), Also depend what kind of braking feel u like, some is soft and some is hard, i know Trestor is Hard feel)

i dont think that is CPS, as i know, persona either in IAFM or none IAFM

i guess maybe elegance special edition not CPS
