If you ask me i'll get both of it. Can get 2-3x magnification. Means can get awesome-er detail. Thats why some of the macro shooters pair up tammy sp90 with raynox.
But aren't 30mm will give you very small mfd? That means you'll move your lens too close to the bug.90mm - 100mm will give you a comfortable range when macro-ing. |

Macro doesn't mean have too shot bugs only. Maybe a water drop or flower.
If let say i am not shooting bugs. SAL30M28 or a Raynox DCR-250 with 18-55 or 55-200 is better? |

QUOTE(zstan @ May 31 2010, 09:11 AM) so noise reduction can be improved by using upgrading the firmware and not redesigning the whole sensor itself? of coz~ it depends a lot on the hardware design limitation itself~ firmware is there to improve the efficiency and utilise the potential of the hardware~ that is why the a700 stop at firmware V4 and sony move on to newer body design like the a550 and so on~ |

Wan to ask a question unrelated to Alpha system... My sister ask me recommend her a new lens for her Olympus EP-1 with olympus adapter, but I don really know the system.. I checkout their website for the available lens and i was quite confuse at the way they put the focal length.. Example:
ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 50mm F2.0 Macro 100mm (35mm camera equivalent) or ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-35mm F2.0 SWD 28-70mm (35mm camera equivalent) As far as I know, Olympus din release fullframe camera. Looking at the 2 example above.. I should actually b looking at the 100mm + 28-70mm (35mm Camera equivalent) correct? im a bit confused by the number. their range is very unusual to standard brand. she was looking for an olympus lens that is good for potrait... mayb like a 50mm F.14 on A700. |

clive, olympus is using the four thirds sensor, which is a 2x crop sensor. so effectively, the 50mm on apsc sensor you're looking for, would be about approx. 38mm on four third lenses.
