what i mean is include the object for reference sake inside the photo WHEN capturing the photo... its like capturing a pyramid alone compared to someone standing beside the pyramid to be taken pic of... then only u will know exactly HOW big the pyramid is.. its to show perspective... for example: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Added on June 15, 2010, 10:11 pmthe ant pic can be done the same way, take a leaf as comparison perhaps? or a coin, or something that ppl would easily get a mental image of when seen. i personally think a tight framing for this picture works better.
my 2 cents.
Added on June 15, 2010, 11:21 pmand a little bit of glare from the sun/or PP will do wonders IMO.

a badly pp-ed flare will look horrible. you have to take account where the light source is coming from, the angle it strikes the lens front element and from what source.

this would fall into my list of badly pp-ed glare/flare/what-not. with a light that strong, the shadows falling on the subject is still normal? the eyes are still open that big? the main light source is clearly coming from the rear of the subject... how would the flare/glare/what-not be on the front of the subject?
