50M28 have shorter working distance. if u really like to get close when doing macro, then it's ok. it not, go for SP90. but if u use raynox, then u'll get shorter working distance as well. lol.

i see i see.. so 50f2.8 has closer MFD compared to the sp90?

@Mikeshashimi Well I brought it around RM600 it is a good walk around lens with satisfied sharpness, just very strong blue CA at tele end

this is what im worried about.. i can take soft focus but probably not so much for blue/purple cast..

For long focal range, it is fine around 135mm to 150mm but at 200mm Blue cast of CA is quite obvious on black edge

i see.. how bout the sharpness of it?

see 1st la.. my 50mm gone. haha... i never really actually use that lens.. im not too keen on portraiture... so saving up.. still puzzled on what my next lens is, whether ill get the huge ranged 18250, the wider end 16105, the dual-usage sp90 (portrait and macro) or Tammy 1750 f2.8.... haiz.... rclxub.gif

QUOTE(ahtsong @ Jun 14 2010, 08:20 PM)

for me...i like the 16105, coz i use more on travel...

1750 is a very nice 2.8 lens, very good for wedding and indoor

18250.....mm...just get 16105 will be more useful, u will like what 16mm can do.

SP90, no comment as i don shoot macro nor model.
*
1)i like the wide end also.... tongue.gif
2) im thinking of getting this and keeping my 55200 coz IMO the 55200 is very sharp for a telephoto lens.
3) what i like is the range.
4)sp90, the practicality in the sense i can use for both macro and portrait.
