Hi guys, I owned a zephyr@falcon xbox 360...(i didnt know which is it but the release date was early 2008)...

Recently it got struck by the daNG! RROD and everything i do to it is not showing any good results. I'd even done the x-clamp fix but still nothing....
I could really use some help from forumers here on how to solve this problem or where can i send it for repairs...Btw im from Penang but studying in Negeri Sembilan so between these locations is ok if meeting is necessary...

The history of my xbox 360 is that i had send it to many console games shops in Penang such as Bukit jambul complex, Queensbay etc2 and these shops charged me RM180 each time my x360 had this 2RLoD or RROD but never was permanent and i was discouraged to send my x360 to any games shops anymore. I lost about RM400++ for my x360 repairs but still i got the RROD until recently i send to shop (they charged me RM180 still) i played for an hour and walla! RROD again!

Please anybody who can help me...i really2 need ur advice or help...Im in Penang now until 1st June and will be back at Negeri Sembilan after that...

TS, FYI, a mobo that is x-clamped will not be able to permanently cure from 3RRoD anymore due to motherboard wrap.

You're doomed. but since now consoles are as cheap as RM8xx~RM9xx.... you might wanna sell this off for spareparts and buy a new one which no longer have this problem.

and dude, you should only send a faulty console back to Microsoft and not attempting anything else like x-clamp or towel warp or even reballing

*sigh* i was waiting for someone to actually ask me to buy a new one hahahahaha....buying a new one is not as easy as it sounds because i was afraid that i might bought the unlucky x360s and got the damned RROD in a few months...but still im thinking of buying one near the end of this year cause maybe Microsoft will decide to produce the x360s featuring the 'Natal' as well...then it'll be a bonus!~

To Brother navigator; Its not that i didnt want to send the console back to microsoft, it is just that i bought my console here in Malaysia and the shop i bought it from said that it had been modified and there will be no more warranty from Microsoft whatsoever...Then until the time it got struck by RROD...I think the shop technician is who the one did the towel trick on my 360 cause when the last RROD struck and im doing the x-clamp fix, i didnt see any clamp fix or any kind of repair results on the hardware inside...only the dusts were cleaned off...and the microsoft warranty void sticker was torn already (maybe the technician did it, i dont know)...

Anyway, buying a new one is already set in my mind...just that i didnt know which SKU to choose...any recommendations?

if your previous xbox has a hdd, just go for a brand new jasper arcade.
my advice is to do a survey on the pricing first.

yes, as per i mentioned - racing game. but i haven't seen FPS on natal yet. maybe natal is not made for every game. but it should. the analog controller is not easy to use, and not for everybody.

i actually doubt it will be implemented in most of the current games. if they did, the next natal patch would be huge.

from what i observed, games types:- fighting (fight night), arcade-wii sport types of games, arcade shooters (cover and shooting), New genre of Adventure? (something like 1998 myst). This i give a thumbs up for making use of the natal tech and implementing new ideas into games.

no not current games, but current genres should. I don't see how natal can sell in volume if they don't cater for the traditional genres l ike racing, FPS/TPS, RPG etc. and i don't see how this games can be played without a controller. so maybe natal will come with a controller afterall......

Hayoo.. U want Original or Moded?

I could advice you based on my experience.. (I have 3 XBOXs at home now, all Jasper, 2 ori, 1 moded.)

The Moded ones, unfortunately, doesn't last long (unless you are lucky). Mine wasn't RROD, however, I have send my moded ones to Repair, because my DVD problem, than later HDMI display spoiled, loading slow and fast at random speed... kinda weird.
But thank god, that each repair, last for 6-9months before it spoil again.

Unlike 1 of my original Xbox360, I got it when jasper first introduce(Quite long ago). I just bought my second Xbox about 4 months back.
Both Original Xbox have served me faithfully. I never had a single problem. Quite Perfect!

Why I have 2 Xboxs Ori at home? Because I can LAN Party with my younger bro! Army of TWO FTW! Why I have 1 Moded Xbox? Coz I wanted to play pirated games as well! If pirated game worth my time, than only I buy original! =)

dude, everyone knows why you wanna get a modded console. Mod will be upset if you share this....... I would advice you to remove the statement.
