hello folks,

its very unfortunate i have a friend who is mentally-ill. he is sometimes normal and sometimes totally nuts. lately i heard his parent had abandoned him because of his violence. thus, he is now homeless. can i get some advice how to help or manage him legally ? where can i get consultation pertaining to such issue? any advice is very much appreciated.

thanks.

How old is he? If he's still below 18 you can register him for special courses which are partially funded by the government.

he is in his mid 30s. despite the cost, we have no idea how to bring him for check-up or treatment. he could be violent and scary at times and on other times he is a fine man. it got worse now as we hardly understands what he is talking. talking about cost, i can only think of government hospitals which im not sure what is the proper procedure especially when the parent is not involved.

what is the contact no for dept of welfare if such dept exist ?
