Another interesting thing I've read is that there are Droids that have those type of keys from the screenshot (two). They're not flat. Kinda bulge up a little.

QUOTE(ijat91 @ May 31 2010, 12:51 AM) the phone for now support only CDMA, no news about GSM. This would be the Shadow as the link says. Link Tablet form-factor 4.1" TFT FWVGA screen Texas Instruments OMAP 3630 Processor 2MB built in memory Android 2.1, with soon-to-follow upgrade to 2.2 Moto BLUR with updates such as BLUR community chat 8 MP camera 720p recording 1080p output via HDMI port ~9mm thick Releasing in July( august from recent news, not confirm) The Shadow/extreme and droid 2 is totally different phone!!! |

QUOTE(faridaizuddin @ May 31 2010, 09:25 PM) No.. It just something different from a country that really like to be rare and weird from others! And that's US for you!And it's no surprise too that CDMA will charge more when roaming compare to GSM because of less concentrated coverage.. QUOTE actually i don't understand why some phone only available in CDMA? is it about exclusive thing? As said, US have their CDMA network as well. VZW uses CDMA and since most phone release is tied to the operator, the phone will of course be made in CDMA network. But this is by far not exclusive (depends on the deal that is) as demonstrated by Droid/Milestone. Once they brought it out of US (UK to be exact for Milestone), they'll have to make it a GSM version since only US's Verizon uses CDMA (though China actually have their own CDMA). UK uses GSM.Even if it is in CDMA, I sure hell do hope they make a GSM version as well |

QUOTE(spikee7 @ May 31 2010, 09:54 PM) I don't think so though in the case of Shadow. The only reason Droid name was not carried over is copyright issues. So I believe they will carry the same name.QUOTE(faridaizuddin @ May 31 2010, 10:04 PM) Yeah, for Market strategy, they must build it in both version.. GSM and CDMA.. If not, they'll only hope that all US residents use their product which's of course they're not so confident with concentration only to US right?? Definitely. They can't just sell within US and hope to make a real profit out of it. Not with the intense market there. They'll be sure to need global market to really get back into the game. Moto has been in the slump for a while before Milestone arrives Added on June 1, 2010, 1:26 pmLooks like MOTO is up for another phone. This time it's confirmed as GSM. Possible codename - 'Greco'. Model XT502. ![]() QUOTE There's no shortage of Motorola buzz going around lately -- thing is, nearly all of that buzz is focused on the Verizon side of the camp. What about the other six-odd national carriers in the States and Canada, five of which are using GSM? Well, for you guys, we submit this so-called XT502 -- a phone that may be codenamed "Greco" thanks to the naming of the image file found over in the Bluetooth SIG's certification directory. We can't gather much from the microscopic image the SIG is using, but they've kindly listed radio details, which indicates we can expect a triband HSPA setup working on the 850, 1900, and 2100MHz bands -- perfect for AT&T, Bell, Telus, and Rogers with a little dash of Europe thrown in for good measure. It'll also have WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, and AGPS; in other words, all the basics you expect on a modern Android device. No word on a release plan, but at least it'll be coming out with some totally legal Bluetooth, right? Source Judging by the image, no MOTOBLUR on board though. QUOTE(faridaizuddin @ Jun 1 2010, 10:10 PM) IS Shadow comes with GSM supported? Both Shadow and Droid 2 have no confirmation on network but having it on VZW raises the possibility of it being on CDMA. The Greco is probably not for VZW.Coz there's a thread arguing about which band does it really supported.. If GSM then, for sure one of my favorite for next phone too!! QUOTE(beatlesalbum @ Jun 1 2010, 10:12 PM) You shoud use those invisibeShield. Saw it a while back at Garage Sale. Not exactly cheap but it gives a great protection for your phone |

A few more trivias/leaks/things to ponder.
Battery ![]() QUOTE(HowardForums) Did anyone noticed what the Androiddevicespy on Twitter said about the Shadow? "cdma_shadow/DROID X/shadow_vzw/verizon" very interesting...stands the "X" for Xtreme or is "DROID X" the name of the Shadow...who knows? (oh well, Bill, Russel and Co^^) i also hope that there will be a "umts_shadow"...and if not i am a little bit confused...beacause why did he write cdma_shadow and not only shadow... please, bill, russel, aixelsyd, winston or whoever, tell me that the Shadow also comes to europe (im from Germany )...please^^ QUOTE(HowardForums) the Shadow (at least the one we've been pining over in the pictures) will NOT (i repeat) NOT be rocking MotoBlur.... Straight from my Moto Rep, no "Droid" branded Motorola device will be rocking Motorblur. the "Droid" branding is meant to be Moto's higher end consumer smartphone-in line with the iPhone and Blackberry's. QUOTE(HowardForums) On the Shadow, Motoblur will have a "Ninja" mode (presumably to be turned off by the user.) BLUR on Shadow will probably be called 'NinjaBlur'. Its there but no one will notice it's there.Benchmark - Look at the Shadow MB810, not 'Your device'. Its nearing N1 result while still being in 2.1. This was said due to NinjaBlur in action. ![]() This post has been edited by exentric_nova: Jun 3 2010, 09:24 AM |
