Err. Get a few boat contacts/travel agents and deal with them directly. Otherwise, the airport has a lot of ppl offering to bring you to and fro Perhentian island. Everyone has their own contacts

Yup, Abdul Chalets rooms were much nicer than expected. Toilet also was hugeeee.
Yea, they charge by car. The van that we took was at RM110/van from jetty to airport.

I read that there is a 'turtle point' and 'shark point' at the Perhentians. It's basically an area where you can see lots of turtles, and another area where you can see lots of sharks. Do you know the names of those areas or where about it is?

have to go during around June to Oct, then u have more chance in sighting turtles... Usually, it starts around April till Nov. However, its depend lucks also...

Missed Leatherback Turtle, remember it was almost as huge as a viva car... but there are good old days giant creature... Now near extinction d... Last nesting of leatherback's egg was heard around 2003 or 2007 and none of the eggs hatch (1 nest only). Compare to 1980, leatherback nesting were almost everyweek, and there r many nesting.

At least you can say you did swim with a turtle! When did you go?
Oh that is a shame. Hopefully there will be less turtle poaching etc. It would be nice to see more turtles around - especially if it is as big as a car!

My friends and I (5 of us) are planning to stay at Mohsin Chalet this coming 10/11/12 May. However we are only taking the rooms instead of full board package.
Does anyone know how much is the return boat fare?
Is the boat available anytime or do we have to book earlier?
Is there any restaurant/food stall available along the long beach if we decide not to eat at the chalet?

I'm planning to visit Perhentian later this year with my girl. I'm looking for a affordable place with good sunset view actually. And I ended up with Shari-la and Abdul's Chalet. They're both affordable. So, between those 2, which one has better view? Or any other recommended places?

By the way, she's not a fan of snorkeling. We just want to chill over there. Are there any packages without snorkeling in it....?

I heard stories if we travel in couple or small group ( more girls) , the beach boys will kacau the girls or start a fight..

Im planning to go there with my wife this June...
