If you want your holiday well organize its better take full board package include meals,accommodation,boat transfer and snorkeling trips rather your book separately. Unless you come with large group then you can get cheaper  price.

Its easy to have meals at Perhentian Island but the price bit expensive ..2 x compare mainland price. Most of restaurant are easy to access .
