Do I need to buy the full original set of WoW CD's to play WoW or I can borrow it from my friend and top up and play ?

you can play as long as point 1 and 3 achieved, as for point 2... if your fwen had given up his account and you like to use it, make sure he provides you with everything from email, password, answer for some secret question etc etc... and sometimes it might cost you some sum of payment more than you expected if he is 'selling' you the account (it is illegal to sell account) becoz 'he has few 80, epic stuffs and epeen glads title and achievement' and you might lose the 'sold' account if he hadn't provide you with full detail and made report to blizz that 'he reloaded but got haxx by cheap, useless, lifeless, despicable, lowlife chainis gold farmer'. best if you get one new keyz for yourself

if u wanna start playing u juz need RM 65 for starter packs with 30days gametimes (only till lvl 60) ,
then after lvl 60 u need another RM75 to be able to hit lvl 70
after lvl 70 u need RM130 for lvl 80, and the next catalcysm will hit soon so u need to pay again
monthly pay is only RM95 per 60days

for the expansion u wont get free gametime only be able to up 10 more lvls ( 5lvls for cataclysm)
for the game files if u got hdd u go to the reputable cyber cafe and copy from there also can ( dont know if allowed or not) AutoSurf wow files is safe
its faster to copy from full wow folder than patching from 1 expansion cds to another ,
and again if u need RAF partner pm me LOLOLOLX , last time i dual boxing 1-60 in less than 14days

mr novo, i think u missed the part about trial keys, which is 10 days

with RAF one can actually level quite fast but he would also be missing some epeen achievements like stockade/ ragefire chasm(well, unless you think is safe to just run into stormwind without having a whole bunch of alliance players/ run into ogrimmar without having whole bunch of horde players killing you)

the only thing RAF is good now is the mount... but it will me a nuisance when RAF player mounted up in front of you and goes, 'want to ride mah 'rockets'?? ghehehehe '

i had an account in taiwan server... back then... it was free trial 10days then just top up monthly and off you go....
now.... its entirely new system and i've stopped for 4years now

Ask ur friends to invite u (u will get a code, so activate it )
u get 10 days gametime
and juz buy all those stuff again

no use la the 10-days thing,oni can lvl,but cant trade,cant mail and no /1 chat...a bit boring for mmo for 10 days.Juz but vanilla wow cd key and u got 30-days playtime credit.enuff for u to lvl to 60-and a half...

HANG on there. if u want to create a Blood Elf Char, u have to get the 2nd expension (TBC) instead just the original one. (people tend to forget about this part)

unless u want to play anything but BE and Draenei, then u can go with original plan.

In order to get 300% leveling exp your friend has to level a toon with you at the same time from scratch (either you or him can be ahead by a cap of 4 levels in order for either one of you to grant the other person the levels for the lost time). This 300% boost in exp stops at level 60.

To start off, you can get the CD/DVD of World of Warcraft from your friend and install it then get him to invite you or register yourself for a trial 10day key and start off first (you will not be able to trade players, receive items nor exceed the level 20 milestone, hence you will require to buy the World of Warcraft Starter pack and enter the CD key to continue there forth).

After reaching level 60, get yourself a copy of World of Warcraft : The Burning Crusade to enable you to explore Outlands and also achieving level 70.

World of Warcraft : Wrath of the Lich King comes in right after you wish to continue towards level 80 and experience the game at it's current content.

To cut things short, if you just want to have a taste of English WoW + leveling at your free time, do the steps above else alternatively, get the Battlechest which consist of World of Warcraft & World of Warcraft : TBC and then solely get yourself the World of Warcraft : WOTLK expansion.

counting out the trial thing (since someone mentioned it's limited and boring)

whut is required:

a smooth and stable connection, like if it *ever existed*
1 vanilla WoW cd key
1 wow 1st expansion: the wallet burning crusade (tbc)
1 wow 2nd expansion: the wrath of the b!tchy lich king (wotlk)


1. get a wow box set (2 cd keys, 1 for ol' skool and 1 for 1st expansion), either from IT shops (with boxes, cds, books n stuffs that you shove some where after installing) or from trustworthy LYN reseller (initial 30 days playtime)

2. install and wait for the patches to kick in (hard mode: 2.0 to current 3.3.3 with TMNut stimix... ) / kopi-pasta from someone whose playing(EZ mode: make sure ur fwen's pc has nothing lurking behind his pc, and urs too)

3. register after the whole client thing is running. now get extra 10 days thru 'Recruit-A-Fwen' (RAF) by getting someone to recommend you to pway the game for 300% experience gain till level 60 (he also gets an exclusive mount thru RAF - ghay rocket...)

4. after that start up the launcher and quickly key in the account name and password becoz the dead dragon 'RAAAAAWR!!!' is really, really annoying...

5. level up to 68 - 70 after being brutally ganked, camped and tortured by opposite faction, get 2nd expansion and go on a cruise (if yer alliance) or a 1st class flight (horde) to north pole northend and ding ding to 80 and ready for end game raiding

6. now comes the most important part... ask you fwen 'can i has gold?' once a whole... well, since you ding too fast to actually accumulate enuf in-game gold for talents and skills... ask kads for those since he's a generous dude...
