Hi all sifus... I've bee searching high and low in this website and didn't see this model being discuss. Wondering is there any user for this model: Samsung 40C5000 or probably the same range C5000? How is the PQ if Compare with the great C530/C550/C650? By the way I was surveying some price around today in Carrefour, I was quoted RM4499 (or somewhere similar) + BD player + 1 year Byond free subscription. Any feedback/opinion are welcome... need your input is this a good tv and good deal? Thanks.

Yea, agree... they standard is not fixed yet, probably they will come out with new standard by end of the year (that's what i read)... So, when are you getting your TV?

One thing i found out not good is the Byond thingy... I guess it will be only applicable for existing Astro user. Or else it will be forfeated? Any idea on that?

Probably need to cos my Condo here the normal local TV signal reception is bad, no central arial or the central arial is not functioning wel...

Sometimes they will give discount... like my case I checked in Carrefour price listed as 5999 but i was given RM4699 (or RM4499, can't really remember) with all the free gifts.

Got mine already lo.... damn happy and satisfy with the quality! superb... just that don't have BD disc to test the bluray player. Overall.. two thumbs up!

I bought it in Carrefour in Wangsa Maju but you can't get that price already now. As according to the Samsung promoter, that price is only available for 1 day "special discount" in Carrefour only. RM45XX.

In fact i got it after the promo ends and when they scan the price is back to normal RM5999 with the necessarry free gift (BD player and byond 1 year)

But he game me special case but only 1 option of the free gift, of course i go for BD cos my condo can't support Byond.

About this promo you mention with aeon, i have totally no idea. You try to look around during weekend, sometimes they (Carrefour) will have special promo which is not advertise in their flier (for my case)...
