You won't get the exact fit, local AC supply is at 50 Hz. Step-down transformers can only change the voltage, not the frequency.need some advice on what kind of step down transformer should i buy to use a 127v ~60hz av receiver

The usual 2:1 step-down will give you about 120V/50Hz, may be good enough for your set if it delivers enough current.
