Handstands are all about balance and technique. Practice makes perfect.

The only way to get better at handstands is to keep doing them. Start off against a wall, then gradually perform them without any support. If you have a friend to help you, get him/her to just life both their arms up straight in front of them while you do a handstand. This way they can help you regain balance if your legs fall forwards or backwards.

There's no two ways about it. You just have to keep doing it frequently. Balance cannot be acquired in a day or two.

Maybe you could get all beefy on your upper body but never work out your lower body so your legs are all skinny. Then your new center of gravity would make doing a handstand easier!
