Hmm ? I think u need amplifier to get surround sound.

you need dolby prologic surround or dts neo6 processor to create virtual surround.

You need an amplifier , when you use that , its going to just give you L and R channels only. It does not see center , you would need to connect to a computer (which as as a processor) to make it 5.1
Does your TV have SPDIF In/Out if so ,you can link ti up to your pc and connect speakers to your pc. Otherwise you can't do anything about it

Otherwise you can't do anything about it now i understand. Use pc as a medium to change from 2 to 4.1 sound. Anyhow does xbox support surround sound? If not, there is no point the whole thing. Because i connect the xbox to tv using hdmi and from tv to external speaker.
