Dear Guys,

Is it possible to setup surround sound from tv when it's connected to the external speakers?
My current setup now is a Altec Lansing 4.1 speaker connected to Samsung LED TV, the only sound i got now is only from 2 front speaker.

Thanks.

You need an amplifier , when you use that , its going to just give you L and R channels only. It does not see center , you would need to connect to a computer (which as as a processor) to make it 5.1

Does your TV have SPDIF In/Out if so ,you can link ti up to your pc and connect speakers to your pc. Otherwise you can't do anything about it

now i understand. Use pc as a medium to change from 2 to 4.1 sound. Anyhow does xbox support surround sound? If not, there is no point the whole thing. Because i connect the xbox to tv using hdmi and from tv to external speaker.
