Went to the TMpoint Puchong this afternoon.

The lady at the counter said that if I were to cancel both homeline and Streamyx (both under my dad's name), I would have to apply for a new homeline and a streamyx under my name.

But what confuses me was, she said that after the new homeline and streamyx is set up, then only they would terminate the old streamyx and homeline.

My dad is really strict about the cost issue. So can anyone clarify about this? Thanks in advance.

It wouldn't cost any extra from terminating just the Streamyx and wait for 30 days right?
Excluding the fact that I would have a new homeline number.
What about the wiring?
Since I'd be using the same phone, just a different number.
The wiring cost seems very hush hush.

I just got the form from there. Gonna get a chop from my college and submit it.

It's a netbook, it's not made for heavy tasks.

For the netbook warranty, you just have to read the first post of this thread.

From what I've heard, the offer ended last month, which was May.

Can anyone verify this?

What I meant was, it ended on the 1st of June.
I'm really hoping it's just a baseless rumour, kinda rushing to get my college chop and stuff now.

If you noticed, there's a "new" package that's being offered by Streamyx.
If I remember correctly, it's catered for low-income families.
They're giving out a 1Malaysia Laptop/hp netbook.
Probably the same netbook being given out for unipack.

I doubt the netbook actually "ran out of stock."

As you guys know, there's a new package with a HP netbook also.
The "Pakej Jalur Lebar" package.

At least I could try asking my dad to upgrade to that particular package, if it's possible.

Puchong seems to be out of the USP list, hooray.
Though they are giving out the very same HP netbook that's being given out for Unipack?
Except the additional 21 ringgit we'd have to pay if we were to opt for the HP, rather than the 1Malaysia netbook.

If you or your family is eligible to apply either one, I'd go with the Pakej Jalur Lebar.
It's about the same price, unless you want the HP netbook instead of the 1Malaysia netbook.

Well, I guess you could risk the possibility of not getting a netbook at all.

Terminated my old Streamyx which was under my dad's name last Friday.
When I got back, can't use the internet already, was kinda pleased with their efficiency.
The staff said only 2 weeks cooling period, pretty pleased with that.

And he guarantees that I would get the netbook, he was amused by the rumour that the netbook ran out, lol..

I don't think Puchong is considered an "ulu" area.
Went to the Taipan TMpoint, very friendly staff.

I am SUPER impressed with Streamyx now.
Just got my Streamyx activated!
And I terminated my old Streamyx LAST week.
So all in all, it only took 1 week of cooling period.

Streamyx ain't so bad afterall.

I got a really friendly TM staff, he said it would only take 2 weeks of cooling period.
But it only took a week for me, just got it activated.
I was expecting the worse.
It's pretty much based on luck I guess.

Get the unipack form from any TMpoint, fill in the form, and get the chop from your college.
Then provide your IC, student ID, the form, and go to a TMpoint to apply.

Depends, some staffs are a lil bit lenient bout it.
It all boils down to your persuasive skill and the staff that you get stuck with.

Man don't scare me. I'm waiting for my netbook now.

Some people say it's gonna be the HP mini 110 for the Pakej Jalur Lebar.
But if I were you, I wouldn't be worried.
I haven't even receive my web order number yet.
