and also the Streamyx Zone ID, is it free for long term as long as we keep our uni pack active?

That is just a place you type your ID and password, you can't change password there you need to go to TM website.

Eventually UniFi will take over but the thing is for some people its expensive. Its a different thing that if you're renting a place for umm 3-4 years for your undergrad degree , then having UniFi maybe worth it. Assuming everyone pays like RM 40 or RM 50 or so , then opt for the 20Mbps package + IPTV. That would be worth it overall , this way everyone would get like "dedicated" 4Mbps up and down which is good rather then using 4Mbps ADSL

You just need to terminate the old Streamyx account and register a new one under your own name.

Yeah...or you can apply for a new phone line and unipack together so that you no need to wait for the cool down period

Actually there are more ways than that... I alone has been recommended to change telephone number or add a sub line and I did the later... down time was 1 week only. Need to sacrifice phone number though which is something that's negligible for students... I doubt we still use home line sweat.gif

For students who live alone is okay to change the phone number, but for students who live together with families is quite hard coze changing the phone number would be very inconvenient

Terminated my old Streamyx which was under my dad's name last Friday.
When I got back, can't use the internet already, was kinda pleased with their efficiency.
The staff said only 2 weeks cooling period, pretty pleased with that. biggrin.gif

And he guarantees that I would get the netbook, he was amused by the rumour that the netbook ran out, lol..

I don't think Puchong is considered an "ulu" area.
Went to the Taipan TMpoint, very friendly staff.
Fingers crossed.

Can anyone clerify what the J and S means on the SAMS page?
My J has a tick under it while my S has a cross, lol.
