Yes.

For more info, http://bulletin.mmu.edu.my/v3/view/bulleti...EXAM%29%3C/i%3E

If fail while on Probation 3 but still having cgpa above 2.0, then the student is still under Probation 3 according to the new rule.

So far only FIT has changed course structures for all courses offered. No subjects is in the course structure for the next short sem. This already has been reported the SRC.

SE ain't easy course, some switch to CS. That is if ur programming is truly bad.
*
Well, CS includes more programming subjects than SE. U will learn more languages in this course.
Examples, C++, Java, Prolog, LISP and etc.

QUOTE(Ezra86 @ Oct 18 2010, 07:53 AM)
Hi guys... just wondering.. Since they are only releasing the results later can i use this method to see i have passed the sem?

Before finals I registered 4 subjects: Due to being under probation, 4 subjects is the max i can register.

Now I've tried to add 2 more subjects recently and it went through.. so making it a total of 16 credit hours.

Does this show that i have passed the sem and reset my status? Anyone else can confirm this or thy to register? Thx.
*
One of my is also having same situation as you. I think u can assume that u r not under prob anymore.
Another friend of mine having problem registering more than 12 credit hours last week. Before this when he tried, he can register for 6 subs. Now he have to drop 2 subs.
I think he is under prob for this semester.

Added on October 18, 2010, 1:43 pmResult confirmed to be released on 23rd.

QUOTE(EVOO @ Oct 22 2010, 05:20 PM)
Hey, can somebody kindly inform me the latest date of MMU 2010/2011 enrollment, that I'm still not late to do the registration?

I DIDN'T know there's another intake in October at all, I thought July intake was the last one for 2010! Gosh, I have messed up everything since I was too late to go for March as well as July's intake, now, it seems like I may have missed another golden chance of MMU intake(in October).

I am a 2009 SPM graduate student who is supposed to be having my tertiary education in a university now but due to certain reason I didn't make it to 2010 intakes. Therefore, I have no choice but to wait for a year for 2011 intake. Nonetheless, I just came back home and logged on MMU website, to my surprise, there is actually another enrollment in October. Sadly, the application closing date has passed. I am so upset. Can anyone give me a more precise date of next intake, please? I am desperate in need of help!

I really have low self-esteem as my friends were all attended university at the beginning of the year. Please reply me with date and your advise.

Next intake is at January.

All academic transcript matters are now handled by SOSC.

am i mistaken or i see wrongly, the new class for january starts at MARCH ??  shocking.gif
*
It is because of the new trimester system, LLS. Next semester is short semester. That explains why it is starting at March.
To be precise it is starting at 7th of March.

More info can be found in the Academic Calendar.

QUOTE(Andyzz @ Dec 27 2010, 07:23 PM)
yeah you will be entitled the money
*
I think you got it wrong there Andy. According to the link here, if GPA under 2.0, then the student will not get any money. Under probation means the GPA is lower than 2.0. So I don't think they will bank in the money.

thanks for the info, do i need to get my document copy certified? because i am living in kuantan and my high school is in Kuala Lumpur?
*
Yes. Get all the copy of your documents certified as PTPTN require those things. You can also get your documents verified by Commissioner For Oath.
But it will cost you. So better go to your High School to get your documents certified as they will do it for free.

hi everyone~ I would like to ask about the MUET requirement  for foundation in law students 2010/11 is band 3 or 4? I'm wondering because in my offer letter it stated band 3, but some of my coursemates said that law students must achieve at least band 4, is it true?

thanks in advance. =)
*
QUOTE(Andyzz @ Jan 7 2011, 11:35 AM)
everyone is standard..if you are enroll on or after june 2009/10, then requirement is band 3
if you are enrolled before june 2009/10 requirement is band 1
*
Yup it is true. In MMU, it is standardized for everyone no matter which faculty you are from.
For most of the public universities, you need Band 4 in MUET to apply for LAW degree.

QUOTE(Tyowen @ Jan 10 2011, 01:50 PM)
umm.. I want to ask any MMU students who used to experience the same thing.

The registration day is on 26th, and the following 2 days are orientation days on 27th and 28th Jan.
I just called MMU up that he answered me, MMU will prepare room for us to stay during the orientation period. I have no activities after 27th and 28th which means we have to leave the room and back to Perak when the orientation is done. The class willl only commence on 7th Feb, 2011.
But, I've problem with this, as I stay in Perak, I assume it's quite far from MMU Cyberjaya.
I've no relatives and friends there in Selangor to fetch me or anything...
So, anyone can tell me how to leave MMU to bus station or anywhere where taxi is available?
I'm not familiar with the places in Selangor at all.
But, I still have to back to hometown after the orientation, right? I've nowhere to stay in Cyberjaya as well.
I can only move in to the MMU's hostel/apartment in Feb...?
(ugh, I dont know, but I just think that even if I successfully make it to the bus station, I may not be able to get a bus ticket to get a ride back to Perak, since Chinese New Year is around the corner by the time, the bus tickets could have been sold all.)

Added on January 10, 2011, 2:06 pmIf I try to skip the orientation, I will get the chance to follow my Dad back to Perak, 'cause he's the one who'll send me all the way to MMU Cyberjaya on the Registration day. The Registration time is 9.00am-12pm, so I think my Dad can wait for me.

But, again, skipping the orientation would have a big problem after that. I'm sure that I'll be 'so lost' when the class starts, not knowing the place where I have class...bla bla bla...

FAint...

QUOTE(Andyzz @ Jan 10 2011, 02:23 PM)
1) you will have to stay in hostel during the orientation..
2) why not ask them whether the room is permanent(for your 1st year) for u(if you are staying in hostel after you finish you orientation)
3)you can skip and ask you friends but you will miss out a lot of important facts such as PTPTN, libraries, exams and so on...
4) you can go back to perak by public transport...
from MMU cyberjaya take u429 to putrajaya sentral
from putrajaya sentral, option as below :
1) take ERL to kl sentral(if taking ktm train)
2)take erl to bandar tasik selatan, the bus stop is at bandar tasik selatan(just open 1 month ago), i mnot sure whether theres bus going to perak from there...
3)take erl to bandar tasik selatan, then take rapid kl to bukit jalil...the main hub of bus is opposite the lrt stop smile.gif

so make your own choice..
*
Nowadays u can take bus back to Perak from Putrajaya Sentral. No need to go to Bukit Jalil anymore.
Transnasional is providing bus services to other states from Putrajaya Sentral. You can even book the ticket earlier by online.
I always take bus from there to Johor whenever I have to skip my flight.
https://www.ticket4u.com.my/
Btw, if i am not mistaken, you will be allowed to stay in the hostel for one week during orientation for free.
Then, u can either move out or remain in your room and pay the hostel fees. You can even stay there during the weekends when the orientation finish.

Yup. It works better. I never really had any luck calling them and getting answer so far.
That is why I always try emailing them no matter what is the problem. Sometimes, the reply is instant.
