Try not to drop anything bro. Foundation subjects are very very easy compared to Beta onwards, and scoring 4 flat or first class is not an option. After that you can apply for scholarships, hence a higher chance of you getting one if your SPM results were not that impressive.

Take this chance to ease your parents' financial burden man.
Just my 5 cents

Just to add, you can actually go to PTPTN website and register. That pin number is enable you to have an account so they can inform you whether the money is in or not. You can wait if you want, but for me I registered right away. Google ptptn malaysia, that's what I did.

Of course you can wait for the orientation, they will help you explain better. Most of the time, the orientation will be done during class hours =( so get ready to sacrifice some class time for you to do your ptptn.

Btw, listen CAREFULLY and take notes when they tell you what to do, because if you have even one document unverified, then you'll have to wait, queue up and go through the whole process again.

Oh ya for those who took PTPTN and are working now, just a reminder. They have finally changed the interest rate to 1% so you guys have to submit a simple formal letter to them so that they will manually change the interest rate for you. it's troublesome i know, but you get to have 1% rate which is really a relief!

True true, search for houses around Taman Dahlia or Bukit Beruang. Rent can go as cheap at RM150 per person depending on whether you share with your roommates or not. RM200 per person you can get an airconditioned single room for yourself in Bukit Beruang already. And trust me, air cond in Melaka is HIGHLY appreciated!

For PTPTN, when you register for the CIMB account, they call it the 'statement account' meaning you don't get a book. Instead you have an account on statement (obviously) only. That's why you won't get a bank book. (this part was very confusing for me at first, coz i thought whenever u open an account, u should be given a bank book. Plus during that time, the CIMB staff weren't very helpful. When i ask for the bankbook, they kept repeating 'Ini statement account' over and over again instead of explaining to me what the hell is a statement account.Sheesh!)
Ergo, don't expect a bank book.

What I did previously was, I asked the CIMB staff to print out the first page of that statement account, or the full month (your call). I think they will charge RM1 or RM2. The CIMB staff will have it certified on the spot. Check for chop and signature of the CIMB manager or person in charge. Easier than going on a manhunt for the lecturer/authorities to certify for you.
