Does the amount includes the rental price for the premises?

If you donate your building for the use of the charity, they do not pay rental. But you are losing money from not being able to rent out your building.
If OTOH, you rent out your building to someone else, and donate the proceeds to the charity, they can use that money to rent another building. Then you can claim tax deductions on your donation. Anyway, not every charity is fortunate enough to have someone offer them rent free premises, or donate land to them, and help them raise the money to construct a building on it. |
