i see that the conversion from Molex -> Sata power doesn't necessary follow a direct point to point like its not like:
1 -> 1
2 -> 2
3 -> 3
4 -> 4

but like:
1 -> 1
2 -> 3
3 -> 2
4 -> 4

is this correct?

Yes, the cable arrangement is correct. Plz DON'T CHANGE any of the wire's position/orientation. Else the wrong/reverse voltage will spoil/burn your harddisk.
