anyone here playing dota using maxis bb?

My maxis broadband speed with E1762.

Download speed.
If single files about 6-7Mbps !!!! see graph on left side.
If multiple files about 3 files.. about 4- 5Mbps. see graph on right side.

Very FASTTTTTTTTTTT..... my maxis DL speed can hit max 734.5Kb/s.

Any1 here subscribe for the highest Maxis data plan?
I'm a heavy internet user. i use only the best fast speed.

q1: yes(free) so far no problem.....every modem will heat but will overheat if you place the modem form heat source

q2: no problem so far(well my friends used it)

q3: old model 3.6mbps only..better you get E1762 becouse max downlink 7.2mbps and max uplink 5.76mbps (all maxis broadband package are 7.2mbps)

we needa pay the Rm 100 registration rite?..i remember some months ago there was no Rm 100 registration fee...+

Today I saw Maxis shop got Raya offer for 3GB. First 5 months pay RM38. After that RM48 per month. Free modem (model E1552). No contract. Have to pay RM100 for activation fee.
Did not ask offer until when.

yes...but it will not cost you to change the modem in the future...yeah..some month ago they have promotional package that gives free E1762.....

anyway, is the modem locked like it used to be with maxis?..

Yes, it is not offered in Maxis website. This is the Raya offer from the shop itself.

my wife signed up for this package. without contract. my question is can the modem be used with another provider's sim?

Not sure on that. If you have other provider's sim card, you can try.
One more clause is that you must be a post paid Maxis subscriber for more than 1 year to enjoy the 3GB @RM48 per month package.

can i ask something to all the people who using maxis..
every week i go to my fren house to use his maxis bb..he use maxis bb rm48 plan n he staying in ukay perdana..when his bb has reached volume quota maxis will reduce the speed..during tat time if u want to open facebook need 5 minute to loading each page..but tat does'nt really bother me..wat make really confuse even maxis reduce the speed i still can play dota online without any lag..so how come i can play dota online smoothly but to browsing webpage are so slow..weird n make me confusing

p/s : i plan to subcribe to maxis bb becoz i use internet only to play game

1. how much bandwidth will be used for one hour dota?

2. is it ok if i go for the cheapest which is rm48 for 1.5gb??

1. i dun know how much bandwith will be used 4 one hour...but using my fren mxs bb rm 48 i play dota without no lag..but u still cant be a host..from my previous post u can know how confused when i playing game got no lag but need 5 min 2 browse 1 page only after they reduce the speed..wat i know maybe becoz even they lower the dl speed, mxs bb ping is still low..for example last 2 month i make a speed test when mxs has reduce the speed until 128kb/s but the ping is just below 100..

2. for your second questions i cant answer it becoz if u dissastisfied with it sure u will blame me..how if u just give a try..

q1; so far, after 2 months usage, mine just disconnect once. at night, not very good, but still acceptable lah. btw, my location is Bangi Lama. no overheated problems until today

q2; imo, no complains from me. but dunno from others tho

q3; not quite sure bout this. before this, im aiming for E1762 (7.2Mbps) this E1552 only 3.6Mbps. but as long as the connection is stable, im satisfied with it

how much time u spend to play dota in one day and how many days will the 1.5gb bandwidth settle down??

just average it..dont need to be super detail..

for the bandwidth 1.5g finish just only in 3 days..i usually come to my fren house only on weekend..i play non stop 24hour dota during weekend..
