Hola, I am a new Maxis Home Wireless subscriber, hope I'm in the right thread tongue.gif

I just had something weird happen. I went out of home yesterday at 6pm, and unplugged the power on my modem. When I came back just now at 7pm, I plugged in my modem, and checked my data usage. To my horror, I saw that almost 2GB was used yesterday at 7pm!

To add more insult to injury, the total 2GB came from 900MB charged to peak, and 1.5GB charged to off-peak, which is weird since obviously, 7pm should be peak time.

I have already logged this with Maxis and they are checking. Just to check any others faced the same problem before. The charge to off-peak makes me thing it was a technical glitch.

hi guys.

I have one problem which needs help.

My phone can connect to the wifi modem (given free by maxis), but I cannot browse to anything, not even google.

The light at the modem is green all the time.

I called maxis 3 times already, they said tech person will call me later.. two days dy.

My hotlink prepaid broadband can connect without any problem, but I dunno y this one cannot.

one year contract summore.

helo guys,

Currently Im in Maxis Broadband Lite package 6GB n paying RM98 a month. Just wonder if it is possible for me to change to the new plan where 20GB is only RM88? without terminating my plan (since Im still under contract)

i think u better drop-off at any maxis center for checking..or maybe u could tweet them at maxislistens..last time when i try to terminate, maxis called and offered me to other plan without terminate current contract..

guys ... i currently on Maxis wireless home BB , i facing problem whereby my MBPR is unable to connect and always prompted connection time out !! but my iPhone and Samsung is able to do so .

i had set WIFI encryption to WPA2 (best for apple product) and remain most setting on WIFI router as i encounter whenever i change the setting like admin password or WIFI password it will hanged and have to reset the wifi router

any more suggestion ??

just sign a 12month contract with the new maxis broadband plan. Start using it yesterday, and i notice Maxis data usage are extremely fast. Just open fb and this forum, 6MB gone.
I leave the modem plug in pc and connected to internet, turn off auto update for all software, after 30mins, 3MB gone.
wonder how they calculate the usage...

dont load image and u can save a lot bandwidth.... 3mb and 6mb is little and ntg .... if bandwidth is ur concern, discon whenever not using...

disable load image automatically in firefox

If you terminate the plan before the contract end with returning of modem provided the modem is still in good condition and with box.
You'll not need to pay the RM200 penalty.

Does the Postpaid Maxis Broadband have penalty if late payment or will cut the line.
How long is the period for me to pay the bill after the billing cycle?

Yesterday I just tried subscribing to the Mobile Internet 100mb on my phone.

Why the heck that I can access their landing portal but I could not use it and I'm stuck with inactive status even before using?(Don't even question me on my setup of APN and login, I know what I'm doing)

Money they already deducted and if I gave them a call after 24hrs, they'll surely tell me of course it's inactive, your valid period for it has expired. In the first place, I couldn't even use it after subscribing not a single byte passed through. Usage status had been blocked after entry.

Don't say I try to comment bad about their service but they truly suck.

Maxis Wireless Broadband is some stupid jialat company who still use the old method of front landing page for their prepaid subscribers. I suggest they do away with that crap page to make things more efficient such as DiGi and the other telcos.

I mean it's honest people like me who pay premium rates for their stingy volume caps for casual browsing and for work access but they don't seem to take care(jaga) the real contributors to their revenues.

Instead they choose to continue supporting the unprofitable packages of giving unlimited or very high quota packages just to take care of some VVIPs and VIPs who don't want to pay but want to have premium UNLIMITED use.

The normal citizens are also contributor of taxes you know. It's not I'm sour here or trying to pour cold water but my advise to you is that why can't you standardize your services to all Malaysians?

i guess maxis value those VVIP more than value the rest of client like us ( Non VVIP ) doh.gif sweat.gif

all prepaid landing to their portal is a dump ideas,.. plus it deduct your Usages when u even loading that portal,..

have any of you subscribe to the 100mb/day but cant access www.xperiablog.net but if u tried to ping it from cmd, it no data lost?

You mean that mobile internet plan which is different from the Wireless BB one with different unet APN?

It only works on certain plans and I think it's sort of a scam. Money goes through but end up no internet and refund.
