planning to get a broadband... any maxis bb user here from selayang jaya? how the speed?

I am from Penang, the speed here is very good about 2mbps, but has been 1 month I no use it. Really expensive laa

Anyone here still subscribe to the Maxis wireless HSDPA Power plan? It is using the Huawei B932 modem (non-USB type).

My promotion package (3.96GB for RM78 p/mth; original price is RM98 for 3GB) is going end in few weeks time. I am checking now if I should keep the package or switch to wireless USB plan. But I can only found wireless plan for those USB type in the Maxis website.

from your price, i think you should totally keep it, since your quota is a bit higher with RM 78 per month,. other plan is not as cheap as that,..

I went to the Maxis retailer nearby my house . They told me that now only have Maxis wireless plan for USB modem??!!!

i think if your price back to RM98 i think u better get new plan,. RM98 = 6GB quota,. better, yea new plan is all with wireless USB modem,. they dont issue those router modem like what you have anymore,. now only have USB modem,.

Maxis need to improve, sometimes clicking another link will bring me to their hotlink topup portal, very annoying, clear cache also same.

i just subscribed maxis power plan (rm68/month) 3GB today.everytime it connects, mylaunchportal pops out.
can i disable this?

oh and is it me or it's sooooo effin slow.always 0-10kbps.sometimes jumps to 300-400kbps for 0.5secs.then 10kbps again.haih.i was at klcc and currently in putrajaya.both locations have slow speed

I'm on the iphone package , anyhow my speed nver go up to 0.5MB download because there was a hugh condo blocking the signal and maxis said wait till alot of people complaint...

Now i plan to get another 4G and cut off my stremynx for weekend usage..paid per use is still better for me

my speed going down from 1.5mbps > 128kbps (after finish quota) > 64kbps

64kbps i think very hard to load any websites at all

yea.i know,like back in 90,when ppl were using dial up

usually it's okay at the beginning.then it drops down to 10kbps-0kbps.then i have to disconnect/plug out the usb and reconnect.then it will be fast again like 200-300kbps.then 0kbps again in a few minutes.deym!

Added on August 4, 2011, 11:55 pmi have this similar problem to you. What i do is downgrade to 1.5gb package (special promo) n monitor for 2 weeks. To my surprise the speed i got at least an average 2mbps above . Continue to use for few months before upgrade back to 3gb package (special promo). I 'm not sure if other user here had tried this method b4. Just see if there any replies from them.

the hotlink portal seems to install something in my firefox, each time click another link randomly will direct me back to their portal. Even when switch to other telco sim is still the same. Is it allowed/illegal?

i dont think it need to install anything in your browser, and i think that's the problems because after install it will bring to portal everytime,.
