I just received the Maxis broadband for 1 week evaluation (by phone). The DL speed range between 2-4MB (HSPDA) and 500~1MB (cdma). Since I am a Maxis user they gave the 7.2MB USB - 5 months pay RM38 then fixed to RM48 monthly 3GB cap. (based on RM68 package) IS this really a good bargain? I am currently using combo 60 but youtube damn lag...but maxis bb super smooth...

i got 1 ques...it may sound silly...
but i need a confirmation..,if my fon can detect 3g is it mean the 3g coverage is available for maxis bb?

hi, i am new to maxis bband. i just subscribed to maxis bb on 23rd april (1.5gb rm48). i paid rm100 activation fee. (without modem coz i already have modem and i don't want the contract) at maxis centre kuching. then, because i don't take the modem, they give me rm33 rebate for first 3 months. so i have to pay just rm15 in 3 months. . the speed is good compare to celcom. today, then i think i should switch to rm68(3gb) so i just need to pay rm35 per months for 3 months and i will switch to 1.5gb plan on the 4th month. i called maxis bband customer service to upgrade to 3GB plan. he said that the 1st month bill will be based on the pro-rated rate. while the 2nd and 3rd month will be full rm35. i just want to ask what is pro-rated rate, and how to calculate that? i use 1.5gb plan for 2 days and yesterday i still remain 1.1gb. then, if i use more than the quota, the speed will be throttled. is there extra charge when we use more than the quota? please help |
